A must have for the surface series. Just seems though for as much as surface costs that this could either be included or at least less expensive. 4 stars only due to disappointment of paying for surface (worth it) then realizing had to go spend $$ for more peripherals to make it useful.

The color is pretty ( but it does get dirty quite quickly, no real way to avoid it or clean it that I know of), and the keyboard is really nice, I love the backlit keys and the keyboard is easy to type on. The fact it detaches, is awesome. Keys are very responsive and I really like it a lot.

This is a great keyboard - not too cramped. I love the magnetic connection and track pad built in too. I feel a lot more comfortable carrying this around with the keyboard as a cover as well. I think this should be included with the surface - that is the only thing keeping it from 5 stars.

The keyboard is a "must have" for the Surface Pro. Although I wasn't super excited about the price, it sure is a lot nicer to use the keyboard than the tablet keyboard. It would be nice if the keyboard had a lock of some sort as it disconnects from the Surface Pro sometimes too easily.

This keyboard installs quickly and firmly with a positive click. It is amazingly thin, light, and has a very nice feel when typing it's a great complement to the Surface, and absolutely essential if you do any word processing at all.

i had my surface for about a week before my keyboard was deliverd. geting use to the touch screen was fun and cool to experiment with. but now that i have the keyboard it has completed it. A cover that holds ur stilus is also a plus!

Great and almost necessary addition to any Surface. Might be cramped for bigger hands, but it is designed for a very slim profile and more than achieves that goal. I love the back lighting as well as the tactile feel of the keys.

This keyboard works great with no lag time. I also love the mouse feature on the keyboard. I did purchase a screen protector as well for added protection. After all, the Surface is no small investment so it's worth protecting.

The backlit keyboard is an awesome feature. The brightness can be adjusted easily. The keyboard works perfectly with the surface pro. I am very pleased with this product.

Very effectively turns the tablet into a laptop. Easy to attach with backlighting. The quick connect attachment is intuitive but sometimes isn't acknowledged by the tablet necessitating a reboot to fix. Overall very happy with it

For the most part the keyboard is wonderful. It makes it so much easier to use the Surface as a laptop. But on the rare occasion when turning the Surface on after I have left the keyboard attached, it doesn't know the keyboard is attached. I will have to disconnect and reconnect.

If you want a key board, and yes you'll need one for any real work, this is it. My only beef is the first one I bought with the computer broke next day: the plastic glued on part with the magnets to the side broke off the rest of it when detaching the key board without undue traction.

I was upgrading to a PRO 3 after using my pro 2 and found the new keyboard to be much better. The keys are defined and you can feel when you push on them. Also doubles for a great stand if you just want to use the touch screen.

Perfect cover and keyboard for the Surface Pro 3, however given the new keyboard with fingerprint reader and more space in the keys I would go that route. However this cover/keyboard will provide the functionality needed.

I really like that there is no setup required with this keyboard, just connect it and it works! No fussing with Bluetooth connections. Also provides some protection for the screen without being bulky. A must for any surface pro!

If you are purchasing a surface pro this is a must. It is energized by simply attaching it to the surface pro. The backlit keyboard is a definite plus. The spacing on the keys are just right and the track pad works great.

What can you possibly write about a keyboard? Well, first off, it is lighted and that is a really nice feature. Second, it functions/fells like standard keyboard which I didn't expect. It works just fine....but I like it.

Great working magnetic attaching keyboard. Very quiet soft touch keys that light up. Personally think the surface should come with it but anyways...the keyboard acts as a cover which is super soft like suede on the backside.

I can use my Surface Pro 3 without the keyboard, but since I use it for work, the keyboard allows me to do so much more. I thought the flexibility of the keyboard it would make it flimsy at first, but it performs very well.

Upgraded from a Surface Pro to a Surface Pro 3 and got this keyboard as well. I previously used a touch cover and this is a lot better. No more miss types, etc. Nice smooth feel. Love the back light and pen holder. Very nice.
