I have had no issues with the monitor I have plugged into the travel hub, but it is unfortunate that it is a necessary addition because the Surface Books do not have an HDMI port.

Got delivery next day. Great purchase experience. The item itself is average in use. Can't be used with Surface pro tablet. The wire is not long enough. Pass through charging also doesn't work. All other ports work. It can only be used with traditional laptops which have ports lying flat on a tablet.
