I blamed other things and replaced other things before realizing that it was this Microsoft hub that was the problem, either faulty hub or it was not compatible. Either way, I used the hub on a Macbook Pro, not mine because apple computers are garbage and I'm a gamer, but it had Windows 10 installed on it and used the bootcamp to swap to windows. When my HyperxCloud2 headset was plugged in to the hub, which was connected to my apple via usb-c, only sometimes would the sound work and only for one day did the mic work. Bought another Jabra headset that was USBC and it also did the same thing. Yes i am very knowledgeable with troubleshooting and settings. Updated drivers, etc. Needless to say, I grabbed a Microsoft laptop and plugged the hub into that laptop with the little "usb-c to usb-a" adapter that the hub comes with, and then plugged in my USB Jabra headset with mic to the hub and it still did not work. After that, I ditched the hub and just put the adapter piece directly on to the usb-c thats attached to the headset, meaning I bypassed the hub, and it worked perfectly. So the hub is the problem and now I can't return it. I didnt try any of the other ports but from this experience with just headsets, I doubt the rest of it works.
