I only cut the star looking at its value for the cost. There are many USB-C docking stations available. Some are cheaper and offer more connections like 3.5 mm audio, SD card, dual monitor. Do your research.

I was dead wrong. This is better than the actual hub and it lightweight so I can travel with it. The only thing I could think of to change is the order of the inputs but it has them all!

Additional functionality for usb but I have not needed to use it yet. So far it’s been completely plug-n-play with my surface studio.

The storage compartment is really cool and pulls the USB-C plug into the slot. Be aware of the port locations and how that will work with your set-up.

She uses with friends on projects and when traveling to see Mom and Dad. She is wanting to hook up another monitor but has yet to do but it is doing a great job.
