Easy to install.

Easy activation with Comcast

After sitting on Comcast extreme 150 not getting that level and recently up to blast 200, I thought it was time for change. Reviews on other modems with the puma chipset were not good, and buying a docsis 3.1 modem seemed too early. 1. I don't foresee paying or getting gigabit service in the ROI period. 2. It's just too early, I'd wait for a couple models later. In the end, I went from 140 to 230 Mbps by updating hardware. I was sceptical about noticing a difference but overall my connection is snappier with the additional downstream and upstream channels. Unless you're a gigabit subscriber now, imo this is all you need right now for future proofing.

Purchased Windows 7 OEM system builders disc from Amazon. Unable to successfully create a bootable UEFI thumb drive for installation. It may have been errors on my part with incorrect bios settings. BestBuy had Windows 10 UEFI thumb drive in stock and I was impatient. It's UEFI and installed on sm951 achi m.2 without a hiccup. It's a full retail version meaning It's 1 machine at a time, but it can be installed on new builds as long as it's not running on your old machine. I guess if I'm trying to be a builder Full Retail is the better option. Thanks BestBuy! GA-z97mx Gaming 5, i7 4790K and Crucial Ballistic Sport Tracer DDR3.

Windows 10 is great!
