took some getting used to

Things were a bit confusing at first, but after a couple of months I got accustomed to it and now I like it quite a bit, although my 11 y/o son uses it more for viewing videos and playing Minecraft than I get to use it for my intentions.

Installed perfectly on mac

It was really easy, just followed instructions on apple.com. The only problem is that windows 8.1 is not my favorite windows OS, but it is the only one officially supported on my mac and i needed windows. Windows 8.1 works efficiently, but I recommend getting windows 10 at this point as it is a much better os. I use windows 10 on my other computer and it is much better than windows 8.1

Decent but not an enclusive platform

WIth its continual updating of the apps and desktop display it quickly eats through the alloted data of the allowed plans. This would be fine on a cable based internet connection but not a metered connection. If I could easily find a copy of 7 again I would go back to it.

Great alternative to windows 10

Bloatware free Windows

Free upgrade to Windows 10 when it is released. The .1 upgrade to Windows 8 does allow you to get back to the normal Windows user interface instead of the pictures interface.
