Easy to install..... Easy to use........... It is good for PC user .......... I will recommend to friend ........

I bought it because I lost my use of windows 7. I was against getting windows 8 at first because it seemed very difficult to use at first but learned it was very simple to use. I have had a few problems with my Logitech keyboard losing connectivity after sleep mode though. Not sure what that's all about.

First the sales person told me that the package did not contain a disc just the code and if I opened it and it didn't work I couldn't return it. After I tried for days to find a way to download the program I found someone to help me and much to my surprise the disc was in the package. Perhaps it would be nice if the people who sell it knew what they were selling.

Had to get Windows 8 for my home computer after Microsoft gave up on XP. We delayed it as long as possible because we had heard negative things from others who already had it. So, not a fan of the product, but a fan of Best Buy because we had Geek Squad coverage and they handled the installation.

I had 8.1 briefly while trying to fix my laptop (which was not meant for touchscreen productivity) It was significantly better than 8.0 version. When we knew we were beyond fixing old computer, my new laptop came with 8.0. UGH! I was so happy that the upgrade to .1 version popped up in the Store. Love the themes and backgrounds that come with it. Still getting used to the motions to close some of the various screens, but that comes with practice.

the dvd of 8.1 windows works, as it should. purchasing it was another story. the salesman was pretty lazy the day I went to buy it. he was busy talking to another salesman. I guess I was breaking up his discussion about what their weekend plans were but was annoyed that they had to work. he also had an issue with price matching their own web site online to the stores price. instead of accommodating the customer, his goal was that he hoped that I would just leave quickly. so he just said he cant do anything. I pulled my cell phone out and looked up another site. I then pointed to him at another site that had the same price. he then price matched. wow, it wasn't like the price was super cheap it was just a few dollars lower than his stores price. the issue I have is that it was his lack of customer service. he also gave me an attitude before, during, and after the transaction. he seemed very annoyed that a customer was there or that he was even there at work that day. it must be great to be young.

This product at first I was like I can't upgrade to from XP so I wasted my money but later I realized that if my computer is formatted and my computer has the capability to install windows 8.1 ... then the CD that comes with it be it either the 32 bit for older computers or 64 bit for newer computers allowed me to get windows up an running on computer to save PC with easy internet detection to get the drivers loaded and save PC for short tern resolution .... now later a new product key still need to be bought since only one key is for one pc !

We skipped Win7, but because of hardware issues (crashed drive and other problems) we decided on building a new desktop CPU. Took a couple days to adjust, but we are glad we did. We then went to the Win 10 upgrade. Even better OS.

This program was easy to install and run on my personal computer.

Need to upgrade PC os and held off from purchasing 8. New version is easier to use and boots faster.

No complaints so far. I am interested to see what 10 will bring.

I have purchased other versions of Windows from the Microsoft Store. Then when it came time to reload the OS had to re-download the OS because the versions are very independent from each other. And yeah, free upgrade to Win 10

Different take...still fun to watch. Worth it in my book.

Works ok on my system but prefer Windows 7. Easy to install

i have had no problems so far with this product so far.

Personally, I don't mind the start screen that many others find aggravating. I find that visually, Windows 8.1 is more appealing than Windows 7 or any version that came before it. It has a clean look, and is easy to use.

I had heard horror stories about Win8. I had no choice but to purchase it. It was difficult to operate at first. I had to navigate through all it's different areas. It is NOT like anything Microsoft has made in the past. But after only an hour or so, I began to see its advantages. Now, I love it! I wouldn't want to back to any of the earlier systems.

THIS PRODUCT IS OK , BUT YOU HAVE TO SWITCH EACH TIME FROM MAC TO WINDOW. I MIGHT TRY PARALEL

It took me a little while to get use to the new windows 8.1 but it does what I need it to do.

No problem with product. The geek squad was excellent with the diagnosis and installation.
