Using this in a mac computer so my son can play pc games, instead of buying a gamer pc computer. So far it is working pretty good without alot of problems.

Windows 8.1 is very well organized. Lots of help to maneuver through screens. 8.1 makes using Windows a lot of fun. Easy to get to control panel with lots of help.

So far II am still learning but what I see it is a great product and looking forward to learning more about it

this is personally the best option, if you'd like to upgrade to windows 10 for a cheaper price.

Microsoft made so many changes to the operating system it's frustrating to locate programs or to get the system to do what you are used to.

people may argue that win7 is best for gaming but I found myself more comfortable with win8 :D

I I needed an operating system for a computer rebuild. With W8.1 I can upgrade to W10 easily

After playing around with it, I finally figured out that its really not that bad. I used to run Win7, which worked well for me, but my new laptop came with Win8. I initially got frustrated with it, jumped ship to Ubuntu Linux, which I used for almost a year. (I still like Ubuntu, but decided to go back with Win8.1, because of compatability issues with Amateur Radio programs, mainly Software Defined Radio). I am fairly savvy with several OS's, and I may make this laptop a dual boot system, enjoying the best of both worlds.

I had to upgrade to Windows 8 because of a Virus that Norton couldn't erase. My copy of Windows 7 wouldn't let me reinstall it. So I purchased the Windows 8.1 upgrade. It was easy to install, but it uninstalled all of my old programs. It didn't contain the features I liked in Windows 7, and it cost more than my 3 license version of the Windows 7 Upgrade.

Fast to install and very easy to use. The start button feature makes it easier to play around with. Once you start using this windows, it really grows on you. Very easy to pick up.

Windows 8 works great. It works seamlessly with the Parallels program that I run on my Mac.

We built a new computer for my son and this product was a great edition to his new computer.

Upgraded OS for Windows was easy enough, just had to back up everything.... so far so good!

Awesome update! Got windows 10 for free to boot. Couldn't be happier with this purchase!

I like the way it looks and it is stable. No compatability issues with any of the programs I use. I really like that antivirus is integrated !

Technically I still use this since the windows 10 was a free upgrade. 8.1 with its updates was okay but it wouldn’t be smart to go with 8.1 since 10 will be more compatible with newer software now and later.
