Bought the new operating system to learn how to use it. Not terribly impressed. It might be better with a touch screen.

Western digital generally has a 3 year manufacturer warranty. The drive warranty process is easy with this vendor. Simply go to www.westerndigital.com and follow the warranty option. Their website walks you through the warranty process. Part of the warranty process checks to see if your hard drive is still under warranty.

The price was fine - I had received an ad from an online store and took it to my Best Buy store and they honored it. I have no complaint with Best Buy. I like the system but do not like being forced to upgrade to a new operating system by Microsoft.

Windows 8 is Microsoft trying to make users BUY a touch screen device to use this. There is no start button that works, the stupid Windows 8 display is really annoying and you CANNOT get used to it. You cannot run certain programs on it at good FPS or even AT ALL! If you are looking for a PC and it comes with Windows 8, I DEFINITELY recommend upgrading to Windows 7.

Windows 8 is a little diffucalt to get youse to. Had windows vista till it quit working, windows 8 is totaly diffrent then vista, kinda complacated.

I needed to wipe clean my computer so I needed the windows software. I do not find it user friendly. Wait for the newest version if you can.

I really enjoy this product however, im still learning certain features but I wouldn't use windows 7.

I'd heard better reviews of Windows 8.1 over the 8.0 version, and decided to try it. It is much better than 8.0. While I don't love the Win 8.x series, I hate Win 8.1 a lot less than I hated Win 8.0. It's Microsoft - so, you know what you are getting in terms of compatibility, installation, etc.

With the coming of Windows 8.1 I can now use my Computer, laptop and smart phone as one. It's the best upgrade I've seen from MS since going to Windows from DOS!!!!!!! Great job MS!! I have friends that rely on me for computer advice and my recommendation will be to upgrade to MS Windows 8.1!

Its different and it'll take some getting use to. But I do like that I can still get to a Windows 7-like screen that I'm familiar with.

I've heard people complain that it's only good for touchscreens. I use it for both and I like it. I wish it didn't cost so much though.

I just needed a cordless home phone for my kids. This one works great and I am happy with this Purchase. It was exactly what we needed.

Purchased this product to upgrade from Microsoft Visa. Upgrade went smoothly; no issues.

I upgraded from Windows 7 because I was lured in with all the "new features" of Windows 8, Plus I am the kind who likes to get the latist, thinking that it must be better. I was wrong, Microsoft developed this system so it could be used on a phone, tablet and touch computer. For them I guess its good. For a traditional mouse user like me its a waste of time and quite frankly its a pain in the butt. I wish I could go back to Windows 7 , But Microsoft never lets you go back.

Windows 8.1 works great. It may be different from 7 or xp, but it functions just fine and is easy to learn. OS operates smooth.

If I had not paid so much for it and could get the windows 7 back I would of thrown windows 8 in the trash and that is based just on it not being user friendly. Trying to save a picture and find it, good luck. Trying to do skype and still watch my shows online at same time or do multiple screens is a royal pain. Clearly this is not best buys doing. Best Buy was wonderful on this visit .

I currently had to install Windows 8.1 on my Mac (using Parallels) to run MS Project - and I love the setup of this version of Windows - definitely an improvement from versions I've used in the past.

Works well easy to install no problems would recommend to all way to go Microsoft

I purchased this for load on MAC computer. It came with both 32 and 64 bit disks so you can choose your preference.
