The only way to remedy the situation is to restart the computer and reconnect the devices. Before this I used an Apple Mighty Mouse for years with no problems. (I'm also very upset to find that the return window is a mere 15 days?!? Terrible service.)

Good compact size, works with Macbook

After reading, drivers, drivers, update add nasium. Turns out the new mouse can only use BT 4.0 built in HARDWARE...if your laptop is new, NO problem. MS dropped the ball on this as my new Logitech M557 uses BT Classic 3.0 and is much smoother than old 5000 BT mouse. Old 5000 BT ate two AAA's in four months, the M557 uses one AAA supposedly good to 10 months.
