Customers are positive about the Wireless Desktop 800 Keyboard and Optical Mouse, frequently praising its ease of use, keyboard quality, and value for the price. Many appreciate the wireless functionality and find the size and weight convenient. While some users noted the absence of a caps lock indicator and occasional lag, these concerns were less prevalent than positive feedback.

I got this for $14.99 as an open box item and it looked and worked just like new. Worth the full price as well.

Horrible quality and bad key layout

    Posted .

HORRIBLE quality - the base is warped so it won't lay flat, and 3 keys were sticky. And the key layout is bad too - the middle section of Insert, Delete, Home, End, Page Up and Down doesn't have any space between the main section and numerical section. So it's hard to feel where those keys are, so you end up hitting the wrong one constantly. Poor design. Even for $29 this is a terrible value.

    Good Replacement

Decent replacement keyboard & mouse from Microsoft. The keys are reasonably comfortable for typing out long emails and documents and the mouse feels good in the hand. I just wish the keyboard included an indicator light for the "Caps Lock” button.

Average wireless keyboard and mouse combo. The keypad is a little cramped though, I find myself hitting "num lock" and "insert" a bunch. But for the price it's a decent purchase.

    Review After In Use

I was excited to find this at Best Buy for $20, wireless keyboard, and wireless mouse for my desk top as I hate too many wires! I decided to give it time before I wrote a review; new items seem to be the greatest. Size was right and had a nice look and feel to it. I misses my optical mouse but got use to not having one after 5 years! Then I realized some of things that really get on my nerves. 1. Back of mouse plate that holds batteries in wouldn't stay on, so I taped it, but it didn't stay on. 2. Batteries kept falling out going on the cat and the carpet searching for these batteries or placing new instead when I couldn't with a flashlight. 3. Mouse kept falling on the floor from my computer armoire when it got close to the edge. 4. Couldn't tell batteries were fully charged or not with such a small light indicator in dark green. 5. Had to tape batteries inside to stay in but still fall out a lot 6. Keyboard started losing lettering and numbers which cause me to make mistakes constantly. 7. Everything is so close, I have to cut my nails down to almost nothing as I hit more than 1 key at a time, 8. Caps lock without my knowledge and end up with 2 capital letters next to each other. 9. I had to tape the back of the keyboard battery holder which kept coming off and got lost! 10. I have to use a light to type, or I miss keys from being worn off. 11. I couldn't find anything cheap to try to tape 12 letters and numbers to see what I am typing. 12. This combination is only a few months old and not used that heavily; it made me frustrated to bother except to do our familiy bills that I had to do. 13. I am female between the ages of 52 - 62. 14. I wish I had learned about the Logitech wireless light - up keyboard and lighted mouse buying it. instead. 15. Only a few months later, and the price has jumped double on this item! 16. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT IN A BOX!!! It was service person suggestion shoving it into my hand! 17. WORST PRODUCT I EVER BOUGHT AT BEST BUY OVER 9 YEARS

    Only good at half price

Got this unit as an open item. While it works great, the range on this isn’t very far. I need a wireless setup as my desktop is going through my LCD which is around 7' away. Unfortunately this unit does not reach that far. Up close it seems to do the job and it responds well. I would not recommend this as long range wireless solution.

    horrible keyboard

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This was the first and will probably be the last cordless keyboard i will ever buy. i have owned it for 9 months now and it is a hassle to own if you actually spend anytime typing throughout the day. I thought with the microsoft name it would be decent, it is not. I have never used the mouse, nor do i intend to. The keyboard can suddenly stop working without warning, which is sometimes fixed by reboot and other times requires new batteries for it to function properly. The longest a set of batteries have worked in this sry excuse for a keyboard is two months. So if you want a wireless keyboard, i would not waste your money on this one.

We wanted a wireless keyboard we could use a few feet away from our big screen TV. This key board was not the one.

Receptor is interrupted by anything in it's path

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This is not great for anything under the desk or anything that might get blocked by the receptor, my cat sat in front of the receptor but otherwise had a clear line of vision (it wasn't directly in front of it but in the general path of it) and every other letter I started typing dropped out. This is inconvenient for many reasons especially if you're using the keyboard for gaming or push-to-talk on voice chat for gaming. It was dropping words midsentence from me. DO NOT BUY THIS. IT' SUCKS.

    Bad Mouse

Keyboard was fine but wheel on mouse moved on it's own. Terrible when scrolling down on a page because it jumps around. I returned it for refund and got a Logitech that works great.

This falls apart within months of purchase

If I paid 10 bucks for this, I wouldn't complain about it lasting 2 or 3 months. I bought one, the USB plug disintegrated. I bought what I thought was an improved version (spent $20 more) it was the same piece of garbage and fell apart within a couple months. DON'T BUY THIS!!!
