    They constantly drop the connection. Don’t even think of trying to play a live stream of a mtg you are having on your surface onto another screen with this.

    This tethering device just would not link properly to my HP laptop. I guess it works better with a Mac??? I took it back in 2 days time, got a full refund, and then I bought a Google Chrome unit for $20 less.

    I bought this on the recommendation of the service people at Best Buy. I told them specifically that I wanted to hook my Surface note book into the large APPLE monitor that I also have. My bad - took their word for it and then found out Apple does not have a HDMI plug in so it would not work. Tried it in another monitor and still not working. It was an open box item so may have been defective. I finally just gave up on trying to get it to work. Oh well - my bad a lesson learned! My low rating may be because I don't know quite how to set it up but it looked really straight forward.

    I've had the earlier version for many years. Used it all the time on my 59" Plasma. Wanted to broadcast the Olympics (Canadian site) to my big screen. Old unit on Windows 10 didn't work. Upgraded to this, followed the instructions, nothing. Same issues as the old version. Something has changed in Windows 10 that makes these not work as easily as they used to. I own a software company and play with PC's all day. Not an MIS expert, but it shouldn't be this hard to make something so simple work....and it never has been that hard. I returned it.

    Worked ok, but doesn't support 4K

    I bought this hoping I could stream in 4K from a Surface Pro. However, it doesn't support that, so it didn't suit my needs. If you want to do screen mirroring in 1080P, it'll work fine, but that's it.

    I won't say one star until I figure out if there is a way to get it to work. But given that it does not simply work out of the box by following the instructions it isn't something I'm impressed with.

    Thought this would work with any phone or laptop with Wifi, Turns out this is not the case, check compatability first before purchasing. Cannot cast S7 samsung phone to older LED Samsung TV

    It kept Disconnecting me. I made sure it wasn’t my WiFi connection etc.... that wasn’t the problem. Google Chrome worked better.

    I purchased this cord to connect my laptop to a TV to give a work presentation. It was not what I expected. The cord is extremely short and is unworkable.

    The item did not work despite everything I could try or think of. Finally went through three layers of Microsoft tech's and 8 hours on the computer and even they could not make the item work. It would not connect wireless between the Computer and TV. Solution is to get a HDMI cord and wire it up.

    I haven't been able to use this product because I am not tech savvy enough to figure it out without explicit instructions which did not come with the product. I am trying to use the Internet to figure it out, but not successful yet. Will be taking laptop down to Geek Squad to see if it is the problem.

    Bought computer with windows 10 as I was assured it would work. It wouldn't work. TV recognizes device. Computer will let me add as a new device. Bluetooth is turned on the computer but it simply will not execute. Terrible purchase!!!!

    does not work with my Samsung TV. Device was located on Source 3 Microsoft adapter. Tv was not able to find this device

    Directions are very poor for using this device. Unfortunately, website isn't very good either. Product sounds good in theory, but it is compatible with a limited number of devices. Was sold the product with the expectation that it would work with my new laptop. It did not. I would carefully research compatibility prior to purchasing.
