If your TV has an HDMI port and USB port the adapter should be able to communicate with your Windows device.The Wireless Display Adapter works with all Miracast enabled Windows 10 phones, tablets, and laptops, including the Surface line up. We would like to see what went wrong and maybe get you up and running with the Wireless Display Adapter. To get started, take a look at this basic set up guide: https://www.microsoft.com/accessories/en-us/support/how-to/adapters/setup.

In use it often stuttered and would occasionally stop altogether. Microsoft needs to put more development into this one. Exchanged for a Roku.

It will only work with a smart TV. My tv uses WISELINK program. This is not compatable with that TV. It probably works fine with the right updated equipment.
