I bought two other brands and the USB quit working after a few months. Should have bought this one from the beginning!

This started out as a great device: cordless, no wires, tiny USB transponder and although my hand is used to a standard sized mouse, this smaller size was acceptable. The problem I had is once I used it for two weeks, I traveled to mexico with it and the scroll wheel started working incorrectly. I verified that it was behaving the same on multiple machines and finally had to put it away and use the backup mouse. I planned on taking it back to Best Buy upon return but when I got back to Ohio it worked correctly on every machine I connected it to. So, for now it is working, and I'll have to see for how long.

Without any hassle, you can use this right out of the box. A must have for those like me who like the old school.
