Works great without a mouse pad. Easy to connect and batteries last a long time

I'd prefer a wireless mouse with a charging base, couldn't find one in my budget, if at all, but this one works fine. At least the battery should hold. But seriously, almost every portable device, or wireless home device has an option for a few bucks more to have revhargeable battery and dock: cellphone, MP3 player, gaming controllers, cameras, flashlights. In 18 months, this mouse will cease to operate, and I will go to the store to purchase AAA batteries in a pack of 2 or more in even intervals, because most devices that need AAA's take two or four. For this mouse I will use only one, and be left with an odd number.

I like having the wireless mouse makes it much easier to navigate.

excellent mouse for a great price u can use it on any surface

This mouse has fallen from my trailer laptop mount about a hundred times. I travel for work, and the height of the laptop mount is about six feet. I keep expecting to pick it up and find it not functioning, but it keeps on going! Not only is it durable, but it operates very smooth on a variety of surfaces, and has given me no trouble at all. Amazing product! Good job on this one, Microsoft!

My wife wanted a small wireless mouse to travel. This mouse is the perfect size and she love it. If you have overly big hands, it might be too small for you. Otherwise it's a fine size. You can't go wrong for under $15.

Plug and play ease of use is all I can say. This thing is simple and works without flaws so far. Of course it’s not being tasked with major workloads. It’s being used on the kiddos chrome book for schoolwork and there hasn’t been a single issue with it. Works as it’s supposed to.

I have three of these. This one was on sale, but I paid full price for the other 2. I use one on my Win8.1 laptop, one on this Linux desktop (my main compputer-Kubuntu 14.04) and one on my home entertainment PC which dual boots Win8.1 & Kubuntu 14.04. It works like a charm on all three. I love the ability to turn it off while leave the (very small) transmitter in the USB port. It really helps extend battery life.
