good mouse
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This mouse is portable, comfortable, and precise. It has a nano transceiver, a 10-month battery life, and a 4-way scroll wheel. It uses BlueTrack Technology to work on almost any surface. It is also compatible with Windows, Mac, and Android. It is a great mouse for travel and work.

Best Small Mouse I've Ever Used!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a small but mighty mouse. It scrolls smoothly and easily. I love that the little adapter fits back in a slot on the bottom of the mouse when not inserted into the computer, instead of removing the battery cover and inserting the adapter inside the mouse. The only thing to keep in mind is that it is a small mouse. Nevertheless, it is still comfortable to use.

GREAT WIRELESS MOUSE
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really inexpensive yet this mouse tracks smooth and precise. The wireless range is good and the USB transceiver is miniature. It only requires one AA battery, and the On/Off slide switch conserves battery life greatly. The mouse is comfortable to use and works very well. A terrific value, and perfect for laptops.

Mighty mouse...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had this mouse for over 2 months now. It's a great little mouse. Got it to use with my new Toshiba Laptop, I really didn't like the touch pad. This mouse is much better than the corded on on our desktop. It is very responsive and accurate. It also works well on almost any surface. At first I thought the Bluetrack tech was a gimmick, but it really works! It even worked on my knee when I was sitting at my favorite chair. It is comfortable in my hand. My son likes it too,he has large hands Because it's a 2.4 ghz instead of bluetooth it doesn't drain the laptop battery like our bluetooth mouse did. And the nano usb control is almost out of sight. I just love it.Paid $39.99 for it, it's worth it. If you can get it on sale, even better!

Excellent
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the poppy red one on a deal of the day for $7.99 so I cant complain about the price. Overall this is a great mouse. I use it mainly on my laptop. It pretty much works on any surface, my bed, glass, wood etc. the scroller is quiet. The build is great which will come in handy because I drop my mice on tile floors all the time which is why I bought this one. Feels great in the hand. I was afraid the poppy red would look a little effeminate but its not. Says 10 month battery so we will see. Didn't install the software as I just let Win 7 install the drivers and that works for me. For the price completely satisfied.

Great Workhorse
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this mouse about 2 years ago. I use it for work and I am on my computer, using my mouse constantly! It goes through some pretty tough abuse. My self and my coworker both have one due to its great design and ease of connectivity. I will occasionally bring it home on the weekends and use it on my Macbook with no problems. Because of the heavy usage, the scroll button is just now starting to disintegrate, but I'm not surprised. It gets heavily abused so I will be purchasing another soon. I would highly recommend.

Very good Microsoft Mouse
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A long time ago in a Galaxy far, far away: Microsoft manufactured (or licensed) form-fitting right-handed mouses (mice?). Those days are gone. Enter the ambidextrous models. Sounds better for a Friday night date than a mouse doesn't it, but I digress. Over my career, I have used dozens of mouses. I tend to lean towards Microsoft for the most consistent, reliable, computer pointing experience. The 4000 doesn't disappoint...IF you understand its quirks...just like ALL wireless Microsoft mouses (MSM). The wireless receiver claims it can transmit across 15 feet. Nope. MSM have never been able to do this. They are *not* Bluetooth-capable--just regular congested channel 2.4 MHz. Mine *barely* makes it 3 ft before beginning to drop signal (noticed by studdering, skipping, acting flaky). I work around this with a USB-A to A extension cable taped to the bottom of my desk. This keeps the mouse and the receiver *less than 3 ft apart* at all times. My signal is accurate and fast... Right up there with my Logitech gaming mouse. MSM use up battery very slowly so it's important that you use Alkaline AA batteries (not rechargeable) in single-battery models. The difference is NiMH batteries run on 1.2V and Alkaline run on 1.5V. Most rechargables discharge at a constant rate even when not in use so the usable voltage will be less...again shortening your transmit range. I normally get 6-12 mo of time between changes. MSM no longer come with CD's in the packaging for drivers. You have to rely on your operating sys to select the *correct* Intellimouse drivers. My versions of Windows (2000, XPP x32, 7 Pro x64) never have and I normally have to hunt it down myself. If you want access to the mouse's higher functions, be prepared to locate the appropriate drivers with Microsoft . If those quirks don't bother you, than the 4000, like all Microsoft mouses (except the ultra basic and Arc series) will be a welcome addition to your mainstream computer pointing experience.

Cheap yet durable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this for my surface pro 6 when I’m outside in my little man cave/storage closet when moments of peace have escaped me for too long. And it’s not the best setup so I have smacked this thing of its little table onto the concrete more times than I care to admit and it still works perfectly (even though the sound is similar to a hard egg cracking :( Nothing special, no bells no whistles but does the job wirelessly and can survive a beating.

Great Wireless Mouse
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this wireless mouse with my Toshiba Satellite Laptop. Can access the LT up to 20 feet away which makes accessing the computer in a lecture environment very convienient. Operates on a AA battery and has proven to be long lasting (eventhough I have forgot to turn it off) therefore making it very economical.

Mouse for trip
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I neglected to bring my mouse on my month long trip to New Mexico and ran into trouble trying to do heavy computer work, to include playing games. This was a good price for the functionality compared to like models. I have no issues with it and you won't either. Don't expect it to be your gaming mouse, although for casual non competitive games it works perfectly fine.

So far so good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this mouse for a month and a half now and the battery that came with it in the box is still alive; well I turn it off every time I'm not using the computer. I like the design and it is very precise... too much I would say. To be honest I wasn't sure about this mouse but I wanted to have a change regarding my mouse. Having no wires is very nice. Worth the money I paid for.

Damage Preventage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Loss in mouse control DO NOT PULL OUT USB Rx out of the computer when powered. Pulling out Usb Rx will damage the mouse. You may get away with Rx pull 1 or 2 times but it will over time hot pull will destroy your mouse. Fix or Right Way Shut down computer by holding down the power button or unplugging computer. Ya I know that is not the way to shut down but you have to power down the computer before you pull the Usb Rx Then after the computer is off pull the Usb Rx out Power up the computer Install the Usb Rx Computer should recognize the mouse. I do this 100s of times and have never damaged the mouse. My mice wear out every 5 years and need replacement. I have destroyed dozens of MS mice pulling out the Usb Rx when the computer is powed on. Just Don't Do It

EXCELLENT Mouse! Might buy a second!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this mouse to use on my laptop to use for FPS gaming. Ended up being a really good mouse! I bought a netbook and ended up using it on that as well. Since it's a real good mouse, I might buy a second mouse of the same kind and use it on that. I like it a lot! Wireless receiver fits on the underside of the mouse, which is convenient for traveling. Just make sure you don't lose it. My mouse is white, not black, though.
