I purchased this mouse for my Dell Inspiron laptop last year in the spring less than 6 months later, the transceiver overheated and failed to be recognized. I called microsoft since this mouse comes with a 3 year warranty, they sent me out another one in pink same thing, overheated in even less time than the first one. I am now debating ordering another one since it does indeed have a 3 year warranty but i'm also considering purchasing a logitech wireless mouse. This mouse sucks in a nutshell. The best part about it is that it's easy to use, great on battery life, and has great accuracy when it's working but the transceiver life is very short and I have heard and read this in multiple reviews so I know it's something with this product. So beware!

Love it at first - cute color, wireless ease. I didn't even have to install the software; it just started working. Then after a few months, it just stopped. Got an error message about a hardware malfunction, tried troubleshooting, installed the software, called tech support, no dice. My coworker got the same mouse at the same time, and hers up and died as well. This really sucks.

I bought the 4000 after I read the reviews. Most had long battery life. I did not find this to be true. Battery would not last overnight without turning it off. It as a hassle to try to remember to do that. Other than battery life there were no other problems.

I have owned my mouse for about 4 months... and now i use it as a paperweight. I had it for 2 months and the nano receiver started to overheat and my laptop would not recognize it, so i pulled it out, and it burnt my fingers. I called Microsoft over 5 times trying to get a replacement and it ended up taking over a month to get a new one. Less than 20 days later i had the same problem. I called them back and they upgraded me to a Microsoft Mobile Mouse 6000.

I had this mouse for a 2+month pros: grip feel good. no clicking noise. work out of box. cons: it works great for most apps but some apps, the mouse wheel is not working correctly, I had to move wheel really fast to move screen up and down but not able to track where I am.... Generally, it works good for every day uses.

Jumpy, erratic, so badly made the plastic parts rub and SQWEEK. If I could find the receipt it would go back to BB. Thought it might work better with Windows, no good at all. I'm going to buy a Logitech mouse from another store.

Most everything with this mouse is great but the center flywheel occasionally sticks when sliding it. I thought maybe it was particular to the one that I got, but then I returned it and got a new one and same issue. Summary - design defect.

after 9 months of use, the wheel's rubber literally came off! How does such a thing become unglued?

This mouse may work on a laptop, but I tried it on a desktop with every USB port in use. The cursor becomes erratic every time the hard drive runs which is a lot for me. I am using several radio communication programs, some requiring USB serial port adapters. I could not find the correct USB port to plug the mouse receiver into where it would work with the other USB hardware running. Very frustrating. This mouse may work well on a PC with no other devices using USB ports.

Same Day Delivery is a Joke. Best Buy uses a company called Roadie that is completely unreliable. We live 10 minutes from the store and the delivery is already marked delayed for 1 to 2 days. Beware of same day delivery if you really need it today
