I bought this mouse for my personal laptop. I was already used to the Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 and I figured the 4000 would just be a newer model (newer is better right?) with some extra features/buttons. Well, the 4000 is a nice mouse with one huge flaw: the scroll wheel does not work in half of my games and applications! The 4000 has a "smooth" wheel without noticeable "clicks" or "bumps". However, many applications are looking for these "bumps" to scroll properly. The fluid scroll wheel of the 4000 only works if you flick it like crazy. I had to throw the 4000 mouse away and buy a 3500. Now all my apps and games work fine. If all you do is surf the Internet or use MS Office, this mouse might work for you. Otherwise, do not buy it.

I use this mouse for when I travel. It is great and fits most anywhere in my bag.
