It's a standard mouse. In my opinion, you can go even cheaper because you're not getting much more-- just the Microsoft name.

What can possibly go wrong with a wireless mouse? How about it simply does not work! Jerky…erratic…impossible to use! I tried all recommended fixes and nothing changes. I should have stuck with Logitech.

A little small for my hand but more importantly, missing the back button on the right side. Not helpful.

Needs to be clear it only works with Macs. Didn't work for my son's computer.

Bought two of these to replace two MS 3500 series mice. I wish I'd kept the 3500's...I could deal with those issues. This 4000 series works well (when it's on), is comfortable, and tracks smoothly. However, none of that matters when it eats through a brand new Duracell/Energizer/enter_brand_here batteries every 48 hours. This thing is a battery pit. Every other MS mobile mouse I've used, all the way back to the 2000 series, had a power save function which worked beautifully and a new battery would last 4 to 6 months, or more. Yeah, that power save function was left out of this one. Multiple threads on MS website complaining of this issue, but no resolution from MS. It's just the way it is. I'll be shopping for a Logitech next week. This is trash. Avoid at all costs. MS just lost a loyal customer with this junk.

Not a fan of this mouse. The scroll wheel is smooth so there is no clicks when you roll it. It also seems to just zoom in and out for no apparent reason and it makes it very difficult to use it for precision work when you only want to zoom a little bit

Overall the mouse is okay. But the scrolling wheel is irratic sometimes.

This did not work properly if mouse was more that 2 feet from computer.

Nice tracking. Battery life short. Would give 4 stars if battery lasted longer.

Like this mouse. Is has a spot to back space, and I find that too easy to use.
