I do it this way because I like to buy games digitally but I still want the Best Buy points. Best of both worlds. It works.

I bought a Microsoft gift card figuring I could take advantage of an Xbox Live special on memberships. The card did not work for Xbox live memberships only on games or accessories.

Ordered at 1am and it didn't show up, so thought it never went through. So got a second one. Now i have spent $200 and don't get to see it till morning. I am out $200 and out some of the game because the sale on xbox ened. That part is on me but this is bad practice on Best Buy's part.

This option is better than buying individual game points. No wait time on the points to actually show up in your account.

I bought this $10 card for something on the Xbox 360 store BEFORE THE STORE CLOSES for good later in the year, but I could not redeem the card on the Xbox 360. Not Best Buy's fault -- M$ just wouldn't help me without trying to charge me for customer service. "???" So I just spent $10 on this card & got nothing in return. So, my warning: do not attempt to use these cards on the Xbox 360 store in 2024, even before the store closes. They may work on Xbox One & Series S/X, but not on the 360 ... & you won't get a penny back.
