Xbox Series S is a very good console for kids but; If you want a console with all the toys and that is something more full gaming then the option would be the Series X.

I've always been a console behind, PS3 when 4 is out etc. I got this system just before Christmas and I love it. Memory sucks so I paid for the 1TB stick which I recommend.

Good console, not great controller

Ended up sending the controller to MS for repair which was a mistake. The console is smaller than you think it is, making it easy to bring to a friends house.

It has super fast loading speeds compared to last gens and I personally noticed higher resolution and better gaming performance. Too. All around plus for me. Get it 9f you can. You will be happy.

The fast load times are worth the upgrade to the new generation Xbox. I also think that the picture is better (even at 1080p - 60hz)...but that could also be placebo effect.

Best to get an external drive for storing games. $219 is too much for the Xbox expansion card, especially being only 1 TB. Looks good on my 4k Tv. Lots of good games on Game Pass.
