This is an absolute steal if you dont want to do 4k gaming. 1440p + 120hz. I still cant believe this is for so cheap. If anything games run better on the series S than the series X imo due to less overheating. The series X gets a ton more drops. If you dont care about 4k gaming...THIS IS A STEAL!!!!! This is coming from a PC gamer with a Ryzen 9 5950x, 32gb G.Skill Ram CL14-15-15-35, EVGA RTX 3090 FTW3, EVGA x570 MOBO. ATLEAST THERE ARE HARDLY ANY CHEATERS ON CONSOLE GAMING COMPARED TO DESKTOP!!!!!!

I used to own an Xbox One X and some people will say that it was close enough to the Series X that it wasn’t a worthwhile upgrade since these are expensive and hard to get. Well let me put those claims to rest. While, yes, this console feels very similar to the One X when you fire it up, once you get into a game, it’s a whole new experience. One of my favorite games from last gen is Forza Horizon 4 and even though you could do 4K30fps and 1080p60fps on the One X, being able to do 4K60fps on the Series X makes it feel like a completely different game. The speeds that this console operates at are truly next level. One of my all time favorite games is the original Star Wars Battlefront II. I have that game for the original Xbox and it works on the Series X! But it works exceptionally well. It’s scary fast. I swear, I spent a collective 3 months of my life waiting for that game to load when I was young. The loading screen barely appears before the entire match is already on your screen with the Series X. It’s so fast that the loading screen is almost a flash on the screen. Of course, younger me is furious at how fast it is, knowing how many times I would just get up and grab a drink or a snack while it was loading. But older me has to start planning out the drinks and snacks before even turning on the console because the days of long loading times are gone, and that makes me extremely happy. It may feel like an Xbox One at first glance, but let me tell you, it is nothing like an Xbox One when you start really comparing speed and graphical quality. Pair it with an Elite Series 2 Controller and you’re in for a great time. Worthwhile leisure investment, 100%.

Got it on sale and it’s been worth it. Games download fast, quick resume games, and pretty small so it doesn’t take up a lot of space. If you are looking for a budget friendly new console I would consider this one. The only drawback is the amount of storage you get is limited but can be upgraded to 1tb external. But overall great console to have.

The Microsoft Xbox Series S 512GB All-Digital Holiday Console brings the joy of disc-free gaming in a compact and powerful package. With a 512GB storage capacity, it offers ample space for digital downloads, while the sleek design complements any entertainment setup. The performance is commendable, delivering a smooth gaming experience at a more affordable price point compared to its counterparts. However, users with a preference for physical game copies may find the lack of a disc drive limiting. In the realm of digital gaming, the Xbox Series S stands out as a compelling and budget-friendly choice for holiday entertainment.

I stepped up from the original Xbox one and the Xbox series S has not disappointed me. I realize the X comes with some more advancements but the S is a powerhouse and I have been very pleased with its power. It is priced well I believe. I do not have the expansion card which is crazy priced but do have a standard 2 TB external hard drive.

I have had my Series S for almost two months now and it really is a little beast. I am coming from an OG Xbox one and a tv from yrs ago. There was a big difference with what i saw in terms of graphics and details. Easy to set up and it loads games very quickly. My one problem before i got it was that it is difital only. I liked having an option to load up physical discs. That cant be done but as i used it , that turned into less of a deal. I had downloaded games from Xbox one and Xbox 360 and a very vast majority can be played on the S, through backwards compatibility. The HD is an ssd is very fast at both booting up the console and starting games. I have both my Series S and Xbox one on the same network and both hooked up to my TV, but the Series S makes it so hard to go back! The Series S cant do real 4k but it can upscale to that and do 120 fps for games that are designed for the new gen. so long as your TV can do that. I would stress again that this is a digital machine and does not play physical discs and if you have adequate internet (bandwidth/data) then you should be good to go. The controller. It is SLIGHTY smaller than the controller for Xbox One. It is however texter to grip better and feels way more solid. I was skeptical before i used it but now it feels so good to use. It does not have the raw power of true 4k abilities that Series X has but unless you must have that and you have a TV capable of what is required, at 4k resolutions and also 120 hz, then get the Series X. Most people by in large dont have that setup and if you have a HD tv and not 4k or above tv, the Series S will definitely do good for you. The gameplay is fast and smooth. I went to the options and turned everything up as high as those settings would go. Multiple MMO games and adventure games to test out the settings. With depth of field and shadows and grass and particles..anti- alising at max, the games looked great and played very smoothly. I have had a whole lot of fun with my Series S and I would definitely by it again, no questions asked and highly recommend it too.

Picked one up after Christmas and on sale. Work great with impressive audio and video. Very easy to set up and I was using it in no time at all. Got the Ultimate Game Pass to go with it. I wish additional storage was cheaper but that's my only gripe.

So I have owned the Xbox Series S and X for about a week now, and each has its upsides and downsides. The S is only $300, making it a great value for anyone looking for a new Xbox console. I have purchased the game pass, and I feel like it is a must-have for the S. It has so many great games and such a vast library. It is a shame that it does not include Call of Duty games, but the fact that it has every Battlefield and Halo game included makes up for it. I have two main complaints about it. The first is the storage size; for an all-digital console, it is important to have a large hard drive, but it is not. After installing Halo MCC and Call of Duty Black Ops 3, half the hard drive was already filled. My second complaint is the lack of a disc drive. I find myself going to the Xbox Series X more and more because of the disc drive. It is an advantage because you can buy used disc to save money. This might save money in the long run and can actually be cheaper than the S because of the savings. You are also able to sell used discs, which you cannot do with digital games. Overall, if you are looking for a game pass device and only want to buy a few games here and there, this is the device for you.

This is the system to get if you want to experience AAA next gen gaming that won’t break the bank. I have a Switch (which I love) and decided to buy this system as a stop gate to the Switch’s successor. I enjoy PC gaming too so I was already in the Microsoft ecosystem. This system does not disappoint.

I recently picked up a refurbished Xbox Series S from Best Buy, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how well it performs. The console arrived in great condition—clean, with no visible scratches or damage—and it included all the original accessories. Setup was quick, and within minutes I was downloading games from Xbox Game Pass. Performance-wise, the Series S is impressive for its size. Load times are lightning fast, gameplay feels smooth at up to 120 FPS on supported titles, and the compact design fits perfectly in my entertainment setup. As a fully digital console, it’s a perfect match for Game Pass and my mostly digital library. The only drawback is the 512 GB storage, which fills up quickly if you install larger AAA titles. An expansion card or external SSD will likely be my next purchase. Also, while the Series S can upscale to 4K, it’s designed for 1440p gaming—so if you’re chasing pure 4K visuals, the Series X is the better choice. Overall, for the price I paid on a refurbished unit, this is hands-down one of the best values in gaming. Compact, quiet, and powerful enough for most modern games—it’s a great option for casual and even mid-core gamers who want next-gen performance without breaking the bank.

As a longtime Playstation owner, I was hesitant to purchase the X Box S . However, I must say that I am thoroughly impressed with this gaming console. Not only does it boast impressive specs and performance, but it also looks incredibly elegant and sleek. The X Box series features a minimalist design, with clean lines and a sleek finish. It's definitely a console that would look great in any entertainment center or gaming setup. The attention to detail is evident in the subtle, yet stylish design elements, such as the textured grip on the controller and the slim profile of the console itself. One of the major selling points of the X Box series is its price point. Compared to the Playstation 5, the X Box series is a more affordable option that doesn't sacrifice performance or features.'s a great value for gamers who want a high-quality console without breaking the bank. Overall, I'm extremely happy with my decision to try out the X series. It's a great console that offers impressive performance, a sleek design, and a great price point. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who's looking for a new gaming console.

I purchased this product and did not expect much from it (given its price tag). However, I was absolutely astonished by the pure power of this tiny beast! for the price of this console ($249 at the time), it was a no-brainer purchase. for a next-gen console, it was an absolute steal, and even at full price it's still great quality and runs every game with no problems or lags. the interface is fairly simple, and with the xbox app on your phone, you can use your phone to control the screen when your controller is away. im not a hardcore gamer, so 512 GB's is pretty serviceable for me, but for more hardcore gamers this might be an issue since a lot of games are 50+ GB's, but thats the only knock i have on this. amazing console
