The Xbox Series X is an absolute powerhouse! From the moment I unboxed it, I was impressed by its sleek, minimalistic design in Carbon Black—it’s futuristic but blends perfectly with any setup. The 1TB storage is more than enough to load up on my favorite games, and with the quick resume feature, switching between games is incredibly smooth. The performance is mind-blowing. Games run in stunning 4K with buttery smooth frame rates, and the load times are practically non-existent thanks to the SSD. Whether I’m playing the latest AAA titles or exploring older games with enhanced performance, the Series X handles it all flawlessly. I also love how quiet the console is, even when running graphically intense games. It barely makes a sound, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the experience. Plus, it’s backward compatible with tons of Xbox One, 360, and even original Xbox games, so my entire game library is always ready to go. If you’re serious about gaming and want the best console experience, the Xbox Series X is a must-have. It’s fast, powerful, and future-proof—truly a game-changer

Title: Unleashing Gaming Power: Xbox Series X Review The Xbox Series X is a remarkable gaming console that exceeds all expectations, pushing the boundaries of performance, graphics, and immersion. As a gaming enthusiast, I have had the pleasure of experiencing the power of the Xbox Series X, and I am delighted to share my thoughts in this review. From the moment you power on the console, you're greeted with seamless speed and responsiveness. The Series X boasts an impressive custom 8-core AMD Zen 2 CPU and a powerful RDNA 2 GPU, providing unparalleled performance and visual fidelity. Games load in an instant, and the quick resume feature allows you to seamlessly switch between multiple titles, enhancing the overall gaming experience. One of the standout features of the Xbox Series X is its support for 4K gaming at 60 frames per second (fps) and even up to 120 fps for compatible titles. The visuals are breathtakingly detailed, and the improved ray tracing technology adds a new level of realism, making games come to life like never before. Whether you're exploring vast open worlds or engaging in intense multiplayer battles, the console delivers smooth gameplay with remarkable clarity. The inclusion of a high-speed SSD significantly reduces loading times, ensuring minimal wait times between gameplay sessions. Combined with the console's impressive backward compatibility, the Xbox Series X allows you to enjoy a vast library of games from previous generations with enhanced performance and improved visuals. It's truly a haven for gamers who want to revisit their favorite titles or discover new adventures. The Xbox Series X also offers robust online services through Xbox Live and Xbox Game Pass. With Xbox Live, you can connect with friends, join multiplayer matches, and access a variety of entertaining apps. Xbox Game Pass, on the other hand, grants you access to a vast library of games, including new releases from Microsoft Studios on the day of launch. This subscription service provides exceptional value and ensures you always have something new to play. The console's design is sleek and minimalistic, featuring a monolithic tower-like shape that blends well with any entertainment setup. The cooling system is highly efficient, ensuring the console remains quiet even during demanding gaming sessions. The redesigned Xbox Wireless Controller offers improved ergonomics, responsive buttons, and enhanced grip, resulting in a comfortable and immersive gameplay experience. In conclusion, the Xbox Series X is a powerhouse gaming console that sets a new standard for performance and visuals. With its lightning-fast loading times, breathtaking graphics, and extensive game library, it caters to both casual and hardcore gamers alike. The inclusion of Xbox Live and Xbox Game Pass further amplifies the overall value of the console. If you're looking for the ultimate gaming experience, the Xbox Series X should be at the top of your list. It's a testament to Microsoft's commitment to pushing the boundaries of gaming technology and is truly a marvel of engineering.

The Xbox series X is an incredible gaming system. I am amazed at how beautiful the games look and I do not have a high end tv. Some games are in Dolby vision and look as good as some high end PCs. The sound quality is also excellent. When I have my head phones on I can hear distant footsteps in every direction where npcs or other players may be. The controller feels so comfortable, it literally is the best feeling controller I’ve ever had. The setup was super easy, you download the app and Xbox does the rest for you. If you already have a Microsoft account you have nothing to do besides system updates. You also can use many of your favorite streaming apps on the console as well. The design is simple but it still manages to look really good sitting alongside any of your other electronics. I am not disappointed with my purchase at all.

Great. Easy process. I did that loan thing with citizen one. Wasn’t as bad as I thought with the process. I already wanted the game pass so getting it for 2 years wasn’t a problem. I did read online that sometimes Microsoft does discounts on the gamepass but I wasn’t too concerned about that. If needed, I’ll just get it and let it add-on to my 2 years. Lol. And I got the Xbox within like 3-4 days; pickup at the store. One thing though. This stupid credit check dropped my credit score by 19 points. It was a bigger hit than I was expecting. Online search results, people were saying 10 points. So keep that in mind if you are looking to do that loan. It might be a big hit. 17 points with another credit bureau. Besides that, the process was easy. And I’m loving the games and console. XBOX!!! Make some rechargeable controllers! That is all =) lol

Great Machine Hampered by an Uncertain Future.

TLDR; Great system, love the backwards compatibility. I have got hours of fun out of it and would buy it again. Future is shaky, but what is here is pretty good. Graphics - Image quality in most cases is very good. Framerate in most games is also very good, usually 60 FPS. There are a few games that are locked to 30 FPS, but those are very few and far between. There is a trade-off in some games where if you want the sharper graphics, you will need to deal with 30 FPS. Or if you want the smoother gameplay of 60 FPS, you end up with an image that is fuzzier or in some cases down right blurry. Library - Very good library of backwards compatible games, some of which even receive resolution or FPS boosts or both. Most current gen third party games are also on Xbox. The downside is exclusives. Xbox does not have a lot of exclusives outside of Halo / Forza / Gears. And they are not receiving the Sony exclusives in the foreseeable future. You would do well to make a list of games you want to play and make sure none of them are Sony exclusives. Controller - Great upgrade over the Xbox One version. Very comfortable. Not as big of a leap as the PS5 Dualsense controller (that one really feels next gen). The battery life is amazing, especially if you get a charging stand and a battery pack. Audio - No complaints, although I am not great at rating sound. It outputs to the TV and it sounds good, not sure what else to say lol. Storage - 1TB in 2024 is a little on the small side. You will need an external SSD or an expansion card. I would suggest 2TB for either. Also, the external option will only play Xbox One, 360, and Original games. The expansion card will play all games. Online Play - You need Gamepass Core to play online (with a few exceptions for free games like Fortnite, Roblox, Apex, etc). I think it's around $60 per year. Gamepass Ultimate is pretty nice if you play a lot of games or you would like to try out Cloud gaming on your tablet / phone / laptop. You also get a lot of new releases like Indiana Jones and Call of Duty day one at no extra cost, which is a nice perk. The Future? - Xbox seems to be in a transition period right now. Their current offerings and the console itself are very good. I will say that Xbox does not seem very clear on what it wants to do in the future or how it will successfully execute whatever vision they may have. That may not matter to you in the long run, but it is something to consider. Conclusion - This is a solid console that will provide hours of fun and good value through Gamepass. The somewhat uncertain future and lack of a clear direction from Microsoft does make the console look a little less compelling, to the point that I felt the need to take one star off of what should be a 5-star system. I would still recommend it to a friend as it represents a good long term value combined with Gamepass. Just maybe hold off on building up a big library until Xbox clearly communicates their future plans.

For the past few years, I’ve been primarily a PC gamer. Unfortunately, my GTX 1080 Ti recently died, and given the fact that high-end graphics cards are almost impossible to purchase these days, I thought I’d give the new Xbox Series X a try. I own an original Xbox One and PS4, but I haven’t played them much for several years. COMPARISON WITH PC: I’m really impressed with the Series X. Overall performance doesn’t seem far off my 8700k / 1080 Ti PC. Obviously, it can’t compare to a new high-end PC with 3080/6800XT graphics and the latest CPUs, but that’s to be expected - the whole console costs significantly less than a high end GPU by itself. I do miss some of the customizability and proper mouse and keyboard support for many types of titles, but on the other hand, hooking up a fairly compact system to the 65” OLED makes for a pretty great gaming experience. SIZE/SOUND: I’m amazed at how compact the Series X is compared to my PC. Even more than that, I’m shocked at how QUIET it is. I remember how loud previous consoles could be (PS4, I’m looking at you...), and while my PC was fairly inoffensive, the sheer number of fans created a low “hum” that was definitely audible from across the room. I honestly cannot hear the Series X during gaming, even with my sound system at very low levels. I can hear a faint sound if I put my ear within a foot of the exhaust fan - otherwise, it’s completely inaudible. Well, except for the disc drive. Installing physical games creates quite a racket. But the system is virtually silent while gaming. Very impressive. GRAPHICS: Graphics on the Series X are excellent. Many games have options for “Performance” mode or “Graphics Quality” mode. I will say that coming from reasonably high-end PC gaming with a 1440p G-SYNC monitor, I pretty much always opt for “Performance” mode. I’m used to high refresh rate gaming, so 30 FPS feels extremely unresponsive and the lack of fluidity isn’t worth the better graphics quality to me. It seems that even these new consoles aren’t quite ready for prime time when it comes to “4K gaming” (but then, very few PCs can pull that off either). But for those who are used to console gaming, maybe the “Quality” modes will make more sense. In my opinion, games look very good even in the “Performance” modes, and I anticipate things will look even better when developers start focusing specifically on the new consoles. GAMES: As for games, it’s a bit of a bummer that there are no real “next-gen exclusives” on the Series X just yet. A good number of titles have received some updates for the new consoles and look very good, but I’m excited to see how games look when they’ve been specifically designed for the hardware. Also, I realize I must be in the minority here, but I do not have Game Pass. I know it’s one of the big selling points for Xbox, and I might hop on board at some point. But even without it, I feel like I’m getting a good value from the Series X. STORAGE: Storage is a bit of a double-edged sword. The NVMe-based “Velocity Architecture” really does improve load times and responsiveness tremendously. And the Quick Resume feature is great if you want to hop back and forth between titles. The downside? Games are already large, and will only continue to get larger. Coming from a PC with 8 TB of game storage (mix of HDDs and SSDs), the 1 TB of storage on the Series X feels pretty cramped. I already sprang for the 1 TB Seagate add-on card, which works great, but at $229 I wouldn’t call it a great “value.” I’m sure future versions of both the console and storage cards will have more space, but I can definitely see storage becoming an issue for users who have a large number of titles. Deleting games when you’re not using them and downloading them again is a pain, and for those with internet caps, it can chew through your monthly data allotment quite quickly. Yes, I’m aware you can also plug in a USB 3.x HDD or SSD and store Series X titles there (and play non-Series-X games directly from the external drive), but again, it seems like a cumbersome solution. Ultimately, though, at the $499 price point it’s unrealistic to expect more than 1 TB of fast storage built into the console. Overall, I’m really enjoying my time with the Xbox Series X. I have to say that coming from a fairly powerful PC, I’ve been pleasantly surprised with its capabilities, and I know it will only get better as developers continue to take advantage of its powerful hardware and as new exclusives are released for the system. The Series X is powerful, dead silent, and offers a ton of performance and value. I recommend it for users who can afford it and want a premium console gaming experience.
