I was looking for a decent set to use around the neighborhood, with recharging capability, wouldn't break by a small drop like most kid versions due and not too pricey. These did the job. I have had luck with Midland products in the past. I would buy again and recommend

The other three work ok but store batteries last 16 hours max and the rechargeable ones that it came with last an hour or two max. Range 1/2 mile max.

Posted .Please reach out to our team at support@midlandradio.com for assistance. It sounds as though there are battery issues. The rechargeable batteries should last about 5 hours depending on usage during the day. Midland recommends taking the batteries out when your radios are not being used for a significant period as well, because they will deplete as long as they are in the radios. The average range for the T31s is 1/2-1 mile in normal conditions. The extreme ranges will happen in optimal conditions such as mountain top to mountain top or over water.
