After going through Hurricane Harvey with no power and sketchy cell service, we decided a weather radio is what we needed. This radio operates on batteries, crank and solar so it is never without power no matter what the circumstances. I hope we never need it, but I'm glad we have it.

Bought the weather alert radio for my son in law for Christmas. We have one also and used it during the last Hurricane down here on the Gulf Coast. Our power went out for three days, so this little radio charged my phone, gave me light and gave me something to listen too. Plus. It was on sale and delivery was the very next day. I made this purchase after reading about all products offered. I am getting prepared for hurricane season. Small size, 6-8”, easy to handle and put into a purse. I like the solar charger, plug in, and battery power. I have tested the radio, clear voice and reception. Charger port USB for phone. I also like the brand name, Midland Radio. Of all the products offered, this is the only company I am familiar with, I used to own Midland CB radios. I am ready for bad weather, hope I don’t need to use this radio .

I love this flashlight, radio, & charger all in one. Very compact and light. Great to have while in a hurricane and after. I will not be without it and plan to get some to family members as gifts.

I bought this for emergencies and weather alerts so I haven't used it yet for those purposes. However, it is compact, small, very sturdy and has a good flashlight.

Love it, you can charge the battery in many ways, and love the weather alert, it will wake you up!!!

Bought this radio to have some sort of info after hurricane Maria and its great. User friendly and no constant charging needed. Just a few hours in sunlight and is ready to use.

we just had bad weather (tornado warning) this weather radio did excellent, even picked up in our shelter!! Everyone should have one of these!

Great for emergency. I really like that you can charge multiple ways. Small enough to pack in backpack for hiking/camping trip. I love it.

The reception is much better than I expected. I like that this can be quickly charged by usb and then maintained via solar panels.

Unfortunately, this radio was put to the test. We are located NW of Houston and were heavily affected by the freakish weather. Power out, no water. This was our lifeline. This particular unit is a multi band, battery operated radio. It comes with a rechargeable battery, an SOS alert button, USB charger, more. Lightweight, easy to handle. We felt secure having this as part of our emergency arsenal.

A must have for to stay connected and our devices charged during emergencies. I have had this going on 2 months and only actually plugged it in 2 charge after purchasing. I listen to the weather band every day and it stays changed from the solar panel.

I have been looking for a weather radio with all of these features. I was very interested to see how the solar panel worked on this & I was surprised on how well it works for being as small as it is. The price is the lowest I’ve seen for a radio that is highly rated & a reliable name with all of these features. Way to go Best Buy!

My father in law has been wanting a weather radio. This one is perfect! Not too big & has a crank to charge! Perfect!

It's an emergency radio, seems to work as advertised. I haven't had an emergency situation arise yet to truly put it to the test.

Purchased 2 of these, one last year for myself and one this year as a gift. Used mine alot for the radio when outdoors. Plus, it has so many other features. Battery stays charged good.
