This is not designed to be your best radio, it’s designed to be the one that will see you through a blackout or an evacuation. I haven’t had to use this on the run yet, but all the functions test out a-ok.

This is a very solid radio. The only reason I took a star off is that it takes quite a bit more cranking to charge up the battery than was indicated in the manual and on Wirecutter's review (but it does work well and for a good length of time).

For a small weather radio this works great. It has a lot of features and will wake you up if an alert is sent out so precautions can be taken.

Bought 3 for various family members. Really needed more info about product. I will probably get more when my home is rebuild, liked my old one better than this one. It goes off and the noise is horrible but don't know how to reset,

I bought this so my son would stop bugging me. Now, I'm used to it and listen to news in my car.

Hopefully I never actually have to use it, but the included instructions were very thorough and I was able to get all of its described functions working well (after I charged it up).

Got this for a friends birthday and ahe absolutely thought it was perfect for her survival backpwck kit!

Super easy to use and works great from inside my tornado shelter. Super useful with the flashlight and device charger. If you live in tornado alley, you for sure need one of these in your home or business!

I made sure it worked and hopefully I won't have to use it but in today's climate everyone should have one. And this alert radio has great reviews. Get one just in case.

Alarm went off during tornado warning— very loud and strobe light was flashing too. You won’t sleep thru that alarm! With another hurricane on the way I’m glad we have it
