Posted .A full charge with rechargeable batteries is up to 5 hours. Alkaline batteries can also be used with this radio model. Faulty Batteries

Radio onlys works if plugged in and dies immediately. Other radio works but batteris die quickly, assuming they are almost faulty also.

For maximum battery life, we recommend charging the battery pack when the low battery icon comes on. Terrible Battery life

Posted .The T31s average 1/4 to 1/2 mile. These are FRS radios, which are 2 watts or under. A general rule for the range is 1 mile per watt. The FCC allows for the maximum wattage of a handheld to be 5 watts. The extreme ranges can be reached in perfect conditions such as mountain top to mountain top.

I didn't expect these to really go 25 miles everywhere, but these would even go two miles. We got about 1.6 miles, but at that point the static was so bad you could barely make out the other person. These could be fun for some kids playing in the backyard, but if you have trees or hills or anything these will NOT go the distance.
