Dont waste your time
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought these radios so me & my wife could communicate while we moving from California to Nevada. They worked only at close range(less than 1 mile). About a week later charged them up as we had to go to DMV & register 2 cars. Even though they showed that they were charged fully , we only got 5 to 10 minutes of use. So basically these do not have anywhere near 28 mil range , & now they do not even hold a charge. Not even 2 months old & already garbage. Very much regret my purchase. I would not recommend these at all.

Posted .Thank you for the review! We are sorry to hear that the range and battery life of these radios isn't want you expected. Range is greatly dependent on terrain. The range advertised is for mountain top to mountain top range with no obstructions. Please contact support@midlandradio.com for a replacement battery pack.

Ended up replacing the rechargeable batteries with deposable batteries and they work great

Posted .I would be happy to help you with rechargeable batteries , since you are unsatisfied. Rechargeable batteries should last 5-6 hours when fully charged and light usage during the day. If you are using your walkies consistently throughout the day the charge may be closer to 4 hours. Please reach to support@midlandusa.com
Bad battery, worse customer service.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Faulty battery out of the box. Best Buy wouldn’t accept return 7 days past holiday return window. Will be diverting 1000s elsewhere. Radios work ok. Range in neighborhood is more like 0.25 mile.

Posted .If you are unsatisfied with the performance of your radio the customer experience team would be happy to help with options or recommendations. The X-TALKERS have an average range of 1/2-1 mile in normal conditions. The extreme range listed is in near perfect conditions of mountain top to mountain top or over water, which is stated on the packaging. There are illustrations also displaying other possible ranges according to obstructions. Please contact support@midlandusa.com for some assistance in this matter.
