Radios work well. Sound is clear in short range and battery charge is approx. 12 hours. They perform as advertised except for the range. Range is shown as "up to" 38 miles. I knew that the actual range would likely be significantly less, but I am disappointed that the actual range for our area is less than 1 mile.

Like the way they feel in hand. Nice grip. Sound quality is good. Easy to use.

Haven't had time to use these much but they are rated at 38 miles and a decent battery life.

Worked well used between 2 vehicles while traveling together. Have yet to try on a forested hillside to know range and durability. As bought the default sounds are obnoxious at the Beginning-Of-Transmission and End-Of-Transmission. The manual is fairly clear about how to eliminate the noise.

Don't buy these to use with a GMRS repeater. These are decent radios if you want just a quick fix for something at the house or on the farm but if you plan on going hiking with these anywhere near a GMRS repeater they will not work. I was hoping that the additional channels were used for repeater offsets but I was wrong. They're simply standard channels with privacy code offsets. Seeing how you can set privacy codes on every other channel it seems sort of pointless to do this unless you want to make it seem like there are actually more channels than what's actually available. FRS radios operate on 22 different, standard frequencies, GMRS operates on 8 additional frequencies for repeater purposes as well as allowing you to transmit at higher powers with the propper FCC license. While the packaging and labeling say "GMRS" it is misleading because you're only functioning on FRS. If you go out and buy a second set of GMRS radios that aren't midland's preset channels you're going to have a bad time and these will only be able to communicate with them in simplex on the first 22 channels.

They have been excellent, I use them for moving train cars round in the yard. They perform better than the recommended Motorola handsets and are compact enough to stay charging in the truck and not be in the way at all.

Mine are incredibly clear, and the range is more than I need at just over a mile. I enjoy the idea of being able to charge them just like my phone, because they're very modern.

I prefer to buy Midland radios as they always perform well out of the box. I have bought other radios over the years that were cheaper and that is what I got, a cheap radio.

We have had these walkie talkies for over one year now and use them on our road trips. Excellent range, for hiking and camping. Very sturdy and easy to use.

I use these to do fire alarm inspections. One person stays at the main panel while another goes through the building. These work well from basement to top floor in 5 and 6 story "high-rise" apartment buildings (hrough concrete floors/walls.)

So far I've used these radio's twice, between 4 cars while driving on rides to see the countryside. I tested them in my subdivision first and it worked great for about 4 blocks with houses in between. We used them between the cars and I don't know the distance because we were driving in a line. But they worked great. Maybe the greatest distance was about 1/2 a mile. Not really sure. But they worked fine. The batteries are lasting very well too. I still haven't recharged them.

These are very compact. I bought them for a couple reasons , the most important was we couldn't hear each other with the vehicles gong by and me working 300 feet away. If you have someone going to the truck for materials you don't want to have to scream for a different wrench. They survived being dropped and d have a place for headphones

Great sound quality and range - great for emergency communication or for outdoor fun.

Works great for us. I use it when I walk the dogs. My husband has the other radio and I feel more secure knowing I can call him if we have problems. The battery charge has lasted a long time. Of course, I have only used it up to 1 1/4 miles so far but the communication is clear.

These Midland radios are great radios with great range, sound quality and overall use. A great radio to use in a pinch.

My kids love these when hunting. Nice range, clear sound on each end. I Recommend!
