Good and historically accurate film concerning the period of time leading up to the battle of Midway in WWII. It just makes 'Good' for that accuracy, however, for those many fans who find little interest in War movies, this is not one to enflame their interest. By contrast, it's a full Five Star SteelBook - very nice design, from Best Buy.

Outstanding live action sequences, felt like you were a passenger in the aircraft. Historically accurate with good lead up to the time period before the war in discussing of Japanese-American relations, and also the inclusion of the Doolittle raids on Japan. Would recommend...

This was a great action movie to watch retracing the events (Pearl Harbor attack) that lead to the Midway battle against the Japanese fleet in the Pacific... Great attention was also paid to historic details. This particular Steelbook has great artwork too.

This was a great movie that is going to become a classic. It was highly entertaining, and introduced me to a critical bit of history in a riveting way. If you haven't seen it, then buy this DVD because it is a movie to watch several times. Don't rent it ... buy it.

I am reviewing the 4K transfer, not the movie itself, which is a separate subject. The quality of this 4K is very good, particular the use of motion. There is some definite grain, which is often a directorial/artistic choice and I understand that. But not my preference I guess. BTW...great movie and really underrated. I would recommend this purchase.

We had previously viewed this movie and were impressed at how close it was produced to the actual battle. We were familiar with the Battle of Midway from documentaries on Public TV. Great story and true to life arial combat which showed the intensity of the battle.

nice clear slip included along with the semi-metallic paint of the battle scenes of ships and airplanes. A pretty nice bargain for a 4K Steelbook in the $15-20 range, but at $35 price you would have to be a really big fan to get it at that price.

the Story surrounds on the Battle of Midway, How the US Navy won over their counterpart. The clash between the American fleet and the Imperial Japanese Navy which marked a pivotal turning point in the Pacific Theater during WWII. I do recommend you to watch this.

Good movie and the special effects are getting better through a computer. I am not an expert on the details of the battle but I think the movie shows a good historical fact about the battle. The more books read on the subject should give one the detail about the battle.

CGI was a bit over the top judging from actual footage I've seen of the era. There were too many explosions and tracer fire throughout, but otherwise a pretty decent telling of the story. Much better than the Pearl Harbor film a few years back.

Midway is a great history lesson for those that do not know what transpired and a bittersweet historic memory to all those who fought that battle. Back story is solid, as is the acting from a wonderful cast. We should never forget the events documented in this film.

ive never seen the movie before. so decided to get this version ,and price was really good thanks best buy. and i was pleasantly entertained. it may not be as accurate with the real story, but overall im here to enjoy the movie as it is.

Having been a WW2 (and Civil War) buff for most of my life, I couldn't wait to see this movie of the Battle of Midway! I had seen the original years ago and numerous times and this is just as good as the classic! If you like history, you'll probably like this movie!

I have heard many say it wasnt that good due to not being factual, however, from what they showed it is very close, nothing is perfect, and I liked it because it helped me understand other parts of Pearl Harbor attack. Overall it is a great movie & highly recommend

Excellent remake of a Hollywood classic. Purchased online while on sale enriched this Blu-ray movie experience. Pick up was almost immediate. Couldn't be more pleased with this buying experience, except if the movie was free !

Very good movie following less we’ll know personalities of the battle of midway. Very different from the original movie, but just as pertinent. Lots of new background information. The original Midway movie is still the most detailed record of the actual battle.

This movie is pivotal in American history as it was the turning point in ww2 for the U.S. Navy as it their first battle with air craft carries fighting hundreds of miles from each other.

The 2019 movie version of "Midway" re-tells the story of the battle of Midway on June 4, 1942 using factual accounts of events of that critical day in WWII. The special effects were very well done. Definitely worth adding to any war movie collection!

I am very satisfied with this DVD. You can watch it digitally without having to buy a DVD player. Just need to register an account on a video website, there is a code in the package of the DVD.

This film is an instant classic. A very clear telling of the historic events that led up to and then including the epic naval battle at Midway. Great cast, great editing, great effects and terrific sound. Love this movie, very happy to have it in my collection.
