Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.What makes the film Milk a remarkable story is that you see what it was like for homosexuals in the 1970s and how they overcame great animosity to find acceptance. This is a movie about one mans life who dared to challenge hate and won, but ended up giving his life for it in the end. There are no explicit scenes. This is NOT Brokeback Mountain. Milk is a movie of triumph and struggle, not bedrooms and more bedrooms. More history than innuendo with incredible acting by Sean Penn and Josh Brolin, the movie will bring you to tears... unless you're a bigot.

Harvey Milk was the first openly LBGT elected official... It's definately a great movie to watch and learn about our history in the LGBT community.
