I only use it at home, but if I needed to travel with it - the thickness of the mat would make carrying it kind of annoying. I'm also curious to see how well it holds up over time.

Bought as an undermat for a sleeping bag

Not as I expect to work

Better Than My Thin Yoga Mat

More cushioning is a definite plus but I am concerned about how long it will last because I already see wearing in parts of the mat I frequently place my hands and feet. Time shall tell but I do like thickness very much! I would also like to inform potential buyers that there is no strap as shown in the photo.
