Went through circles trying to use it, still no luck

Returned...card would not load properly and locked up

Get it! You will not regret it! This is by far the funnest game I've played, and it has a way to keep me coming back for more. There is no set rules, other than don't swim in lava. You are spawned on a virtually infinite world (limited by your computer's hard drive). You can play the creative mode, which gives you unlimited resources to build what you desire, and there is survival mode, where you have to gather resources; you do a lot of two things: mine and craft! The world is what you make of it; you can build massive structures, dig for precious diamonds, or make an animal or plant farm. There are four game difficulties: peaceful, easy, normal, hard, and hardcore (which is its own game mode). In peaceful, you don't have to worry much about dieing, just don't fall too far, swim in lava, or drown. The other difficulties add some more fun: surviving randomly spawning mobs who are out to kill you while trying not to starve. And when you see a Creeper...well, you'll find out. Hardcore mode locks the game at hard difficulty and you only have one life. This doesn't just buy one copy of the game. As long as you have a computer with internet and the Java Virtual Machine, you can play this game on any computer and on as many computers as you want. There is also a massive assortment of mods, like Feed the Beast, which add more elements to the game, like machines, which only require that you have a Mojang account. If you are not too sure this is a game for you, I recommend searching the Lets Plays on YouTube for this game, especially EthosLab. They will give you plenty of information about how to play the game and what it is like. You can play this game on any computer, even Mac or Linux. The only requirement is that you have a Java Virtual Machine.

I bought this game because a lot of my friends play it. It reminds me of a computer version of legos. You can get really creative, and build some cool stuff. Watch out for those exploding monsters, they'll destroy your house.

I used to play this on the X Box 360, and finally started playing the PC version, and holy cow it is so much better! There are a TON more features, and animals, that aren't on the console version. This was I know created for the PC and I feel like if you had started with the PC version, and then went to console, you might actually be a bit disappointed, but since I went the other way around, I was amazed by all the content! Next is buying some of the texture packs for it, I already tried the candy one for console and loved it! I can easily spend all day playing this game. It's super addictive. It reminds me of when I was a kid and playing with Legos all day. It's a must have for anyone. Young or old. You need this game.

My kids and I are addicted! I love the creativity this game helps to generate. I love the concept of it and how it uses real items from the earth. some of things I see that my kids make is amazing.

I don't know what it is about this game but both my kids say it's their favorite. You simply cannot go wrong getting this ss a gift to a boy anyway. I don't know if girls care so much about it.

My son loves this game. It allows him to construct a world of amazing things. He enjoys Legos and this is almost a video game version of the popular building toy. Creativity is encouraged and the ease of use is one of the strong points. My 7 year old can easily build and understand the world as much as my 11 year old. The graphics are basic (which lends itself to the style) but for $27, I would have liked to see an update to these. Granted, it was created by one person on a shoe-string budget (but so are many other great indie games and they don't cost this much) Nevertheless, so much joy has been had that we will probably end up getting our money's worth in the end (but only because we have found endless mods that allow for increased enjoyment and better graphics)

Got this as a gift for a friend and his kids - he both loved and hated me for it. For 6 months, he and his kids did nothing else but play Minecraft.

The game is a lot of fun for my 7 year old and my 20 year old. After watching my kids play we downloaded this for Sony PS3. A very fun game for the family. I would like to add that you should be sure that you have a reasonably modern PC with adequate graphics card before running this game. Do not be fooled by the digital appearance thinking an older PC will run this. Aim for the desired PC capability. The minimums weren't enough for my son's PC even after dialing down all the video options in the game. A quad core with fast graphics card are best. have fun.

The minecraft download card is extremely worth it. Once purchasing the card, one can easily create an account at minecraft.net. Downloading the game didn't take that long, and the game is extremely good.

For been a block type game, Minecraft is fun and makes you use your mind. It is great how one can create simple or even complex things and use ones imagination while having endless fun.

you want to kill a couple hours pop this game in its like crack before you know it your up for 5 hours building castle you didnt know you wanted

I usually get my PC games on Steam sales for cheap, but unfortunately Minecraft almost never goes on sale. Begrudgingly, I bought me and my daughter copies, and it is definitely worth it. We play Survival, so we enjoy gathering resources, creating things, and fighting off creatures. Setting up a server to work online (not LAN) is a real pain though. This game is the ultimate Indie Game success story, with very few people creating it and the world loving it. It does take some research to learn about things like crafting and recipes though, but as an old-school pc gamer I'm used to research and modding.

Probably one of the best games of a lifetime. I just love how you can build to your hearts desire and how no matter how much you play it or how long it never gets boring

when went on the minecraft.net looked at the profile and saw that is could buy these cards so i went out and bought it

An unbelievable game at an affordable price and to be able to have loads of fun and even get the chance to join or create a server.

My daughter absolutely loves this game, there are a ton of different servers and things that you can do in this game. She plays for hours building and exploring.

great game, best version and you can use a controller like on the home consoles. no complains.
