Gets the job done

Only once the sound wasn't playing on my second monitor so I'm not sure what that was. Otherwise it would be a 5 star

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Microsoft doesn't tell you this, but this adapter will not work with the Surface Dock - it only works if you use it directly into your surface. If you want to use HDMI with your dock you need to buy an "active" adapter. The one from Plugable is well-regarded, and apparently solves people's problems with the Dock. It runs about $20, quite a bit less that this one. If you are having problems running your monitor from your Surface Dock, this is the problem you're having. You need a different adapter.

Works exactly how it should

After finding myself in a couple situations where I could not connect to a presentation system I went a bought it. Works as executed and is now a regular part of my business kit.

No need to go into any wettings to change or make the TV work as a screen. It would have been better if the HMDI cable had been included. Lucky for me I several laying around.
