It is a good movie, in 3D of course, but it's not as good as Despicable Me 2, which in my opinion was the best of the 3 movies! I miss the main characters, Gru; The girls; and Lucy, but being a prequel, they are just not there. It did cover the history of the Minions, which was never talked about in the other 2 movies. It is worth having, buy it! PLEASE Best Buy....Keep up your videos!!! I'm depending on you!!

The third installment of the minions from despicable me is a standalone film focusing on jibberish-like speaking yellow minions. The movie itself is pretty standard for a kids movie in that there aren't very many "scary" parts or monsters. both my 4 year old and his 13 year old cousin enjoyed watching this one quite a bit, and there are lots of laughs for grown ups too. Recommended if you liked the despicable me movies.

I love the Minions, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I received this computer animated movie as a Christmas present this year, and couldn't have been more pleased. A little rude humor, but otherwise O.K. - nothing offensive that I can remember. These little yellow guys (and their creators) are nuts - in a good way.

I can watch this movie over and over again and I'm not one to watch a movie more than twice. It also helps to keep my boyfriends son occupied and content, but I'm sure his love for minions has a lot to do with that. The free minion lunch tote was a cute little plus and he takes it everywhere even when it's empty.

Loved the movie and loved the ability to share. My daughter was able to take one copy to show over and over again to her children and I was able to keep one copy at home so they could watch it when they visited our house. The kids get hooked on these things and can watch them over and over. Great movie, as well

I'm a big kid and love to watch kids movies as stress reliever. This movie makes me LOL and cheer at and for Minions. I enjoy the Despicable Me series in general but this one focuses on the Minion history and family and tugs at your heart throughout. Definitely recommend for kids (young and old) as must watch.

OK, so this movie wasn't "bad" but it wasn't as entertaining as the Minions were in Despicable Me series. I guess I found it tiring and somewhat boring in the beginning when the Minions were in search of their new home. Seriously, how many times can they replay the SAME plot over and over and over and (you get the drift!) . . . But the ending was decent, and it's the Minions, so gotta love that, right?

This movie goes along with the Despicable Me series. It tells how the Minions came to be before meeting Gru and working with him. Funny movie. Good for ages 4 years to preteen and up. This movie incorporates a lot of history as it shows the minions long life. Characters are very entertaining, good movie for the whole family to enjoy. Villians are not as scary as some of the ones seen in Despicable Me 2.

saw the movie in a theater in the summer with my grandsons and right after they said we want the dvd. they've watched it multiple times since christmas, so enjoyable. the only negative to me is that it gets very loud and somewhat violent towards the very end. may be too much for those under 5 years old.

Loved this movie! We got this movie for our son for Christmas. Oh boy was he excited! We watched it that day, and had popcorn, it was a great time. We love spending time together, everyone seems to be so busy during the holiday season, so it was nice to take a time out, and relax and enjoy family time!!

Mt best friends' son loves anything to do with the Minions so I was glad to find this at such a good deal which includes 2 copies of the movie, one in blu-ray and a second in DVD. This purchase also came with complementary Minions Mittens which are a bit big for him but adorable nonetheless.

We have already watched the movie three times. It's has great background music that all baby boomers are going to love...but the rest of the family will find it enjoyable too. It's a nice movie that will cross generations and everyone can enjoy. The humor is fun and the bonus stuff is enjoyable too.

A fun romp with Minions pre Gru (not a spoiler as it was mentioned in the trailer). This movie is a lot of fun though I think Despicable Me 2 was the most enjoyable of the series. There are fun characters, a good soundtrack, and enough entertain little people and adults. Minions is a fun time.

This is a great movie for kids that love the minions and want more of them. It still depicts gun violence though so I would not recommend it for very small children as it is intended for a slightly older group.

Bakkah wakkha daudda That’s what I’ve been saying since my Son picked this up, trying to teach him to talk and this hilarious movie took us back a little bit, worth it though. Great movie one for all and good to see the Minions got their own movie.

While this movie staring our favorite short yellow characters was very entertaining and did not cause any droopy eyes it was not as good as Despicable Me. The kids did love it and the adults enjoyed it as well, overall not a bad buy BUT just not up to expectations that have been set by the previous 2 movies. By no means would I skip watching it, just justifying the reason for only 4 stars.

If you watch the Despicable Me movies and enjoy the minions, you'll love this movie. We laughed throughout this movie, as we do every time the minions are onscreen in the Despicable Me movies. Learning their history explains why they are so loyal to Gru, and it's an enjoyable history lesson!

The minions were the best part of the first two movies in my opinion so this is the best of the three! I liked how the movie focused on the minions and how they came to be. Surprisingly the previews werw just the first few minutes. I was really worried the movie would be ruined.

We love this movie so much! Have already watched it countless times. Also was a great value to get it in DVD, Blu Ray and digital so we can watch it in the car at home and put it on the iPad. Recently went on a long flight and watched it with the kids twice. This movie is new every time!

This is sort of a prequel ... that is, it tells the "history" of the Minions, leading up to the point where they meet Gru, from Despicable Me. (Although Gru is only in the last few minutes of the movie. Minions is a lot of fun. It moves along fairly quickly and keeps you interested (and laughing). Not the funniest movie I've ever seen (hence the 4 stars) but certainly worth seeing.
