This movie is not as funny as I thought it would be and my 9 year old agreed with me. I am not sure he will ask to watch it again. It had a couple funny moments but the first despicable me is still the favorite in this house. And just because it was not for us does not mean you shouldn't give it a try.

My son likes it and it's not a terrible movie, but it lacks the emotional impact of the Despicable Me movies. It's basically the loosely connected antics of three minions in search of a villain and trying to serve her. But the story and characters feel shallow when compared to the previous films.
