It would be nice if you can by the sim kits to add onto an existing plan but it does not work that way and so far the only option is renewal through Mint. When renewing through Mint your charged tax and other fees that are not tax on the sim kits.

Mint customer service kind of sucks, don't buy a phone from them, because it is an act of congress to return it, but if you already have a phone, or can buy an unlocked phone, the service is cheap, and I've never had an issues with connectivity.

Happy to be saving a lot, but ever since I switched I only get 2-3 bars vs, 4 bars always on VZ. My home is my world since March, so haven’t noticed any issues with the call quality, but glad to be saving some dough!
