Mint Mobile runs on the T-Mobile network and the service where I live is super spotty to the point where when I'm indoors I'll have one bar (or sometimes no service), but when I step outside, I'll have 3 or 4. I find this to be an issue all over my area. I'm only in the US for a couple of months each year, so I'll keep my service for this year because it's too much of a hassle to find something else, but I won't use Mint again. Be sure to check T-Mobile's coverage for your area before buying this kit!

Affordable plan for the ones who are using traditional carriers

I purchased a 3 month promotional plan. It took almost 2 days to get connected to the network. Due to a family emergency, I did not spend much time on my phone for about a week. Then, I realized I only get good service when I am connected to wifi. I generally only get 3 bars outside, and if I'm not connected to wifi, texts often won't send, calls will drop, and instead of calls coming in, people are sent straight to voicemail, which I don't always receive unless i restart my phone several times a day. Yes, my phone is listed as compatible with their network, and i had none of these problems with my previous carrier. They claim to have excellent service in Topeka, KS, but i don't know anyone that would call 3 bars, excellent. Customer service is a joke. They tell you to do the same things over and over, with no resolution, and they refuse to give refunds outside of the initial 7 days post-purchase. Do not waste your time or money. They company couldn't care less that they do not provide a quality product. It wouldn't surprise me if a lot of their money is made off people like me that they refuse to refund.

worth purchasing easy to setup and great black friday promo!

I bought this product to resell on Amazon. Unfortunately it was not the best purchase, it does bot have the complete information for the questions that customer ask. I had my product return it to me and, I have no more chance to send back to Best Buy doing the fact the time has been already inspired. So, I lost I chance to sell the product and still lost my money and my time. ): Sorry.

Mint Mobile is the perfect option for my grandson!

After many attempts the mint SIM card did not work with my TracFone. And, it was too late to return the card when I finally attempted activation with my TracFone. Expensive lesson.

I appreciate the start up offer, but it’s a hassle to switch later when the free trial runs out.

Bought this item along with a 10GB card and another 4GB card and activated them on three new phones. The cards wouldn’t work on my new phones as my devices still had a carrier lock. Since I bought these from a BestBuy store, I couldn’t get a refund from Mint Mobile, and Best Buy wouldn’t allow a return of the SIM cards as they are considered final sale items. It’s best to buy the cards from Mint Mobile’s site directly as they offer a 7 day return policy, which I would have been within if I did that. I’m out $60, $45,& $45 for my three cards so $150 total.

Is less than 1 an option? It should be, Don't make the same mistake I did! First, check and see if TMobile is worth a crap in your area. It's not in mine and I didn't know that's whose network Mint uses. I have dropped more calls in a few months with Mint than I did in a decade with Verizon. Their support is also terrible. Mostly chat, all overseas. They don't support Virtual SIMs, so if that's what your phone uses, you're SOL.

It works good sometimes and its really bad at otger times.

Didn't work in my area. I was told the speeds were good and checked to see if coverage was good in my area and it said it was on the website but it was very slow I was getting around 2-3mbps which is very low compared to my previous service 80mbps+ definitely not worth my money unfortunately.

You get the most bang for your buck! Cheap cost and great service! I don’t know how I never looked into this provider!

Just what we needed for travel, simple internet, but a little difficult to activate

Mint Mobile claims to have excellent coverage on its website In our area. When we activated the account we had no signal within a 30 mile radius. When trying to receive a refund the receipt would not load onto Mint mobiles website and when we tried to contact them through email or calling the company Mint mobile does not answer. Tripe check your coverage with this company they say they are lying where they have coverage and have no indention of refunding your money it it doesn't work. Go with a better company

Simple to set up, but connectivity can be inconsistent around Hillsboro and Beaverton.

I told the sales person I wanted the deal where I pay 3 months and I get free three months. However she did not provide me with the deal I requested for. Even though I received a 45 this doesn't add up to the deal I requested for. 3 months is equel to 90 dollars and not 45 dollars. When I called customer service for mint mobile, the nice young lady said that they would have provided the correct chip for my phone that is 6 months for 90 dollars.
