Much better than the old-fashion timers

Among those old style timers, some newer ones has built-in battery (which happened to be a capacitor) and when it dies, you just throw it away. This one is revolutionary compared to to the timers. And much cheaper too. Very easy to configure, and no hub required. I can't say anything about longevity, but for now, it does what it needs to do in an excellent way.

It basically contacted my previous provider for my account information and to keep my old number. It took less than an hour and the service is better than what I had at Verizon. It also includes a mobile hotspot!

Reception is fine where I'm. This time there was a hiccup with activation, and it took a call to Mint to resolve which they did quickly. Now that there are other competitive MVNOs out there, and Mint's promotion is getting rare, I plan on switching when my plan is up for renewal.

Also, the SIM card worked, no issues there.
