Great deal for great service especially when they have their buy 3 months get 3 months free deal going on. Can't beat it. It's basically T-Mobile without paying for the brand name.

Great reception and fast 5G speeds. Very affordable plans as well. Simple phone number port which took about 5 minutes after I keyed in the info on Mint Mobile's site.

My elderly father did not have a cell phone when we moved him into his new condo and the cable hookup wasn't scheduled 'till next week. So, I grabbed the Mint SIM kit from Best Buy. I was in and out in a flash. The on-line account creation was quick and easy. I popped the SIM into an old phone of mine (stripped down to the basics) and ran it down to him. Mint Mobile works as well as any of the carriers I've used in the past. The reception was awesome. The only problem I had was teaching the old man how to use the cell phone.

Great prepaid SIM and plan. Have had good speeds and call quality. Plus got 3 months added on for free because I bought from Best Buy. 6 months of great 4G for $60 is a steal.

Great value. If TMobile service is adequate where you are using the phone, Mint Mobile should work well for you at a much lower price. Very happy with the service and the deal.

Best Mobile Deal for Individual/non-Power Users

I've had all the top companies for my mobile service, but I'm not a heavy user and it seems they are focusing on families/multiple users/heavy data users; they could care less for the individual user who just want a simple plan. For my minimal needs, Mint was PERFECT for me: inexpensive, better coverage than Verizon (at least here in San Diego, if you know what Verizon is going thru with MEX), and have had excellent, clear call quality ever since! So happy to have found Mint, don't think I'm ever gonna switch back to the big 3 again.

Really glad I switched to Mint to save money. A couple years ago, my friend convinced me to switch from AT&T to T-Mobile, and I was really happy with the switch. For $50 prepaid, AT&T has limited data, but T-Mobile is unlimited for the same price. Then a couple months ago, I switched to Mint because it's on the same network, but cheaper. Now I only pay $30 a month. I don't use that much data anymore though, so I'll be lowering my costs even further by buying a lower data plan.

At first I was apprehensive about switching mobile service providers, to date I have purchased these cards for family members and myself and after nearly a year of being a Mint customer I am thankful I did. The card was a great value purchased as a Deal of the Day, but as a notice - you have 45 days from the date of purchase to activate the card, so do not wait until a holiday or special occasion to gift it and end up with it not valid. Other than that, be prepared for a lower phone bill, reliable reception, and one less thing to worry about if you pay for annual service TLDR: Use within 45 days, enjoy the savings

Issue of porting in from unreal mobile

First of all, I have not started using the service yet. But there has been a lot of hassle porting my number to mint mobile from unreal mobile. I hope my typing can help someone else in my situation. I purchased the mint SIM card and fill in the port in account number and pin obtained from unreal mobile website (after logging in, they are under "settings", "port out"). I checked the status by chatting with mint agent and learnt the port failed due to incorrect pin. I resubmitted the same pin for a few more times and they all failed. Searching online, I found several unsuccessful porting experience from unreal to mint. I did notice someone said he/she got a different pin after contacting the unreal mobile agent via email. Someone also said unreal mobile phone numbers are treated as landline numbers not cellular numbers. I began to try contacting the unreal agent through "help and contact". It lead me to a support website where I submitted a ticket. the ticket was left untouched for a week. Then I accidentally noticed that a lot of the community post on the support website is asking for ticket solutions. I did the same by posting my ticket number. I received a resolution email soon. The email instructs me to use the pin 9999, which is totally different from what is documented on their website. The port info with the new pin was submitted three days ago. The port is still in process as of today. After contacting mint mobile, their agent told me a port in from a landline number takes 5-7 business days. Hopefully, I can get my number over by then. Overall, I would say mint mobile is not bad despite the frustration I had in the porting process.
