Used to find that tmobile's service doesn't do well and download speeds are only about 3mbps down, so they won't work well where I am at. but great way to do a test. No credit card or anything needed, just a name and email to start.

The plans blow away my older plans by a longshot ! They have a 10 day trial (ok, $5) but it's a convenient way to test their service and find out if it's good for you. The cell service has been excellent and their customer service is very helpful (I made an error and they fixed it for me - fast! ) After the 3 months expired I went with the 12 month plan. I have recommended this to several of my friends.

Card cost $2 but they give you a $5 credit toward your first month if you stick with them. You get a temp number for the trial and then if you stay with them you can port-in your own number or they'll supply you with a new one. They use the T-mobile network and I did get 5G service -- though it wasn't much faster than good LTE -- about 150 Mbps. The downside to Mint is that you have to commit for a min of 3 mos. at a time.
