I was able to use the $5 starter pack but the $45 3 month option was much easier to setup. I was changing over 3 phones from ATT and it was quick and easy to port my phone number if you need to do that.

I already have a pre-paid T-mobile account that's over 10 years old but includes talk and text only. I wanted 4G extra just in case I ever needed it. If I'm satisfied with their service I will transfer my old T-mobile number to Mint SIM.

Overall, 5g service is good, no problems. WiFi calling/textng is good. Trial was worth doing before transfer. Going with the annual plan after first 3 months... can't beat the price!

I am using a dual sim phone and use mint mobile to have a secondary number.

Not sure if it was the way it was entered at the store, but it's still a good buy and you get it back when you sign up.

The data works albiet slow. You do get unlimited text and talk. So if your an at home wifi user but texts a lot on the go and talks then for $200 a year (after taxes) the 3gb plan is perfect for you.

Anywhere else you're paying an arm and a leg. This prepaid $5 sim kit is well worth trying out Mint. You get the $5 back when you pick the plan that is best for you. It's well worth the try. :)

Signal availability is slightly uestionable around noon.
