Bought this to use in a tablet, and the whole process couldn’t have been easier. Could have gotten one for free though the mail, but decided to spend the $2 since I was already going to Best Buy.

Love this! Perfect way to try out Mint without committing. Just enough minutes/texts to be useful without the hassle of going through a set up with one of the “Big” name brands.

Mint mobile offers good quality prepaid cellular service for a pretty fair price. I am using a dual sim phone and use mint mobile to have a secondary number.

Had to contact agent instead of using app to activate and get internet part to work. Afterwards, didn't have issues. Hotspot worked right away versus Red Pocket where I have to ask agent to turn it on.

Mint has good pricing and ok coverage. Their requirement to purchase 3 months at a time is annoying though.

Its ok, worth it for visitors that need US sims or if you need a burner number. Just use it in a burner phone if you are doing that kind of stuff, IMEI is easy to track too.

I went to the Hagerstown best buy, and while the clerks were somewhat helpful, they were also, not very helpful at all. Their product knowledge if you knew what you wanted was decent but , don't go in there blindsided. I got told a phone was one price and then rung up for full price. The attendent should have been able to see the giant words on their device, only 180 with plan, 250 without. Needless to say I got my hopes up and then when I had to choose a different phone, I had to ask another person to help with the sim because the one making the sale was trying to rush me like crazy. :/

I pay 191$ for 3 lines with a major carrier, and we’ve been talking about trying a cheaper alternative for a long time. Mint is one that we were leaning towards, so a 7-day trial is pretty ideal. As far as making phone calls, it works, which is what I ask of my phone carrier. It also didn’t drop my calls to a friend on a prepaid plan as frequently, which is a plus. It has the standard texting too, which didn’t seem to fail any more often than my main carrier - I’ve checked, and I live in a bad service area for everybody, apparently. My main concern is data, which is, on this trial, on the “ok” side of average - but I’m not getting anything better currently, either, with how the unlimited 5g data is throttled to uselessness at half of my monthly hotspot cap. We will be crunching some numbers and using the rest of the trial to decide if mint is worth it. Considering multiple plans like a la carte tray, which I can tailor to my family’s needs, the option to change it when I need to, and no threat of an 18 month hostage situation (device lease-then-buy-or-give-it-back-because-you-didn’t-pay-for-it-you-just-paid-to-use-it program), I think it’s much more flexible than what we have. And honestly, they’re all basically the same in my research so far; certainly the big ones are, so for what utility I need, it does the trick.

I bought this to get a mobile number to port out to another carrier that offered a big discount if you port in a number from another carrier. I had to call Mint to get my account information to give to the new carrier.
