    I Love Mint Mobile!

    Posted .

Mint Mobile is the best carrier for the price. They use T-Mobile lines so the quality is great. I've never had a problem even while traveling. I purchased 2 cards as I'm returning my wife and myself from Google Fi. They're a bit pricier than Mint and I only switched to get new phones for half price.

Why pay a mint for mobile service??

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I bought this SIM card and 3 months of service for my new Moto Stylus 5G, since my previous cell company, Republic Wireless, wouldn't support 5G. Our family had been with Republic since their Beta tests, so I was hesitant to switch to Mint. It was SO EASY!!! I put the new Mint SIM into the tray on my phone, and I was prompted through activation and how to request a number transfer. I kept my old number, and was up and running with my new phone and old number in about 5 minutes!! **You'll need your username and password from your old carrier to transfer your number.** At the end of the 3 month trial period, you can renew for a year to pay the same low rate, or renew by the month or 3 month period but you'll pay a little more. I live in a dead zone for cell service, so I use wifi at home. I had a problem setting up my wifi calling, but put in a help ticket, and got a fix in less than 5 minutes. I've switched my other family members over to Mint now! We kept forking over $20 extra in data charges with Republic every month for our college student, who was using about 8gb of data a month (cost was $35+$20=$55) For $30 a month, they have UNLIMITED data with Mint. That's a win!!

Good intro but price does zoom after intro is over

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Good service but a kind of bait and switch. They double the prices if you keep it longer than the intro. But, it does work and the hotpot does work. I think they would do better if they kept the prices the same as the intro because it is definitely sticker shock. I think a prepaid bargain price would make people stay longer. If you just need a few months then it is a good deal but for longer read the fine print.

    HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The service and pricing are fine. The admin side of things is horrible. Wasted a bunch of time today because their emails don’t have the correct specifics – ever. After my initial 3 month promo, I switched to 1 yr for the best price ($15 month when prepaid). The emails I got don't make it clear that I have switched - it appears that I am still on 3 mos after just changing to 1yr (it only lists my current plan and doesn't say anything about the year). Mint says that the email was just a confirmation of me having added a payment method and signing up for autopay. Very confusing. And then today I get an email encouraging me to get more savings by signing up for a year - despite the fact that I have already signed up for a year! This after they misinformed me initially, requiring multiple calls to straighten out THEIR mistakes. They used to be great, but now? FAIL!

    Excellent Value!

Quick and easy activation following the instructions provided in the kit. Just be sure that you verify your account number and PIN with your current provider before you attempt to switch (if you want to keep your current phone number, that is). The worst part was waiting for the SIM kit to be delivered, as no BB stores close to me had the $15/month kit in stock. Once it arrived (late), I was done with the whole transfer process in less than five minutes. So yeah, waiting days and days to complete a 5-minute transfer process wasn't great, but that's not Mint Mobile's fault. Happy with the service so far!

    Amazing price/reliability

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Mint Mobile is a no-brainer, with it's low cost and use of the T-Mobile towers. I was on Sprint for the last few years, my bill was $140 for two lines + two leased phones, which isn't bad at all but I was looking to go even cheaper. I bought two TCL 10L unlocked phones, and two of these 3GB 4G LTE sim card bundles to go with them. I bought these cards to test the Mint service reliability in my area, and as I expected - it's fantastic. I'll be renewing my service for one year in January when my 3 month prepaid service runs out. In total, I'll be saving over $1000 a year compared to sprint.

    The most awesome review ever!

Top notch? No. Is it good enough? Maybe. Buy a month and see. Then you’ll know if it works okay where you live and travel. I had strong signal in the city, so-so in the suburbs, usually none when farther ou in the less populated areas. Hotspot is limited to 5gb and that isn’t good and the reason why I’d really only give it two stars.

    "Mint" to be T-Mobile

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

You get what you pay for. I got Mint Mobile for a second phone that I use in my car for gps. The phone is constantly searching for gps because the signal is weak. The phone service is very spotty. I was very surprised because T-Mobile works well in my area. Since Mint uses T-Mobile I expected good service. However, I was very disappointed. Every time the service goes out, our corny inside joke about the phone service is it "Mint" to be T-Mobile. I like that you can try the service out and not have to commit to a long term contract. The service isn't bad, but it doesn't fit my needs since I need it to travel.

Mint Mobile has just upgraded ALL of their plans! So the 5GB/mo. is now 8GB/mo.! The service is actually pretty good and beats FreedomPop's crappy service hands down!
