I signed up directly because there waa a 3 week wait to get from Best Buy, i regret signing up. The talk portion works, but the data part is a big problem. here is the reason. Since this is a discounted service of T-Mobile, the Mint service is provisioned as a second tier customer, meaning tmobile customers get preference to the network, you will get second dibs. now this is why its a problem, downloads and connections are inconsistent at best, if you do streaming music/video, it will cut out at best and time out reguarly, if you look up an address on a map app, it will most likely time out a couple of times before it works. General browsing will time out or take long. In this case, you did get what you pay for. If you must must must sign up for Mint, sign up for the lowest data plan, since you wont be able to use data properly, i figure you will need alot less of it. my 2 cents.

I've been using TMobile for years, then saw Mint. Tried it out and it has been great. Same service consistency (for better or for worse) and at a cheaper rate per month.

$15 is a great value for three months, but somehow missed the fine print about it going up to $25 after that. (Plus you have to pay for all three months in advance after the $15 thing runs out, so there's a $75 balloon payment coming.) I'll stick with them, for now, because it's still not a bad deal.

*^*CAUTION CAUTION CAUTION*^* ~Previous to Mint SIM card purchase, {(2) 3 mo. 10 GB - out approx $162!!!}, Mint CS assured me my phone {as per IMEI} & zip code were compatible with their service. The first time they assured me my phone would work. (lie). ~ activated 10/23/18, as per instructions included. Didn't work. · had to remove Mint Sim to call their CS for a fix. - I was instructed to enter a variety of codes in different locations & wait. (screenshots available). ~once it finally worked, service was spotty, at best. - red screen, 'emergency calls only'. (screenshots available). - phone calls rarely come through.   · I'm told, oftentimes, when people call my phone, they don't even get the option to leave me a message on my voicemail. Also, it doesn't ring, it's just dead air sound.    * this is very concerning for me, BC I am on a new medical device & I'm having a difficult time regulating it with my doctor & those involved with my care. ~Data and Wi-Fi issues: - a phone call, I'm morning options aren't even an option. - on the occasion, when I can get it to connect, it disconnects. (looking things up online, I'm constantly told I'm offline). (pics available). - when I can access an online connection, I can move quicker, crawling backwards then the data speed allows. ~my screen freezes and doesn't respond, even trying to shut it off and restart, that isn't an option, BC it's frozen. ~before purchasing a new phone, as per advice from many Mint CS, I called Mint to confirm my new phone would be compatible {while at Best Buy on Black Friday, I was assured that the Moto X4 would be}, BC they told me I needed one. (recording available). *** please note, I have been in contact, repeatedly, with Mint Mobile CS before and during my service began. I've got recorded phone calls and pictures to prove all of this. Along with a report from Best Buy's Geek Squad. I wound up having to exchange the Moto X4, & two other phones, the following Monday, all during the same visit. None of them would work with the Mint SIM card in. (Best Buy Geek Squad report available) No solution has been provided, hence the reason I am now coming to social media. I may have been robbed, by Mint mobile, but I believe in the good in people. Therefore, I will not let this break me. I feel that if I can save just one person with this information, that will help me to feel better. I haven't worked  in more than 7 1/2 years, due to a bad accident, so I will be paying for this charge on my credit card for a long time.

I got this plan because I had a landline that I rarely used as part of an internet plan. To top that off I was constantly getting unwanted calls from telemarketers, sales people etc that were not supposed to have my number. But I'm old school in that I need a back up phone at home. So I dropped the landline and got this Mint plan. It was almost half the cost of my landline and being a smart phone it has many more features than my cordless landline phone. Also I don't get any unwanted calls ... not a one. At the moment you can't bet this deal.

Changed from sprint to mint. Saved money!!! Great value and good network, No issue at all.

I have had Straight Talk for the last decade almost and finally got fed up with their outdated app and website. Mint Mobile is so much more user friendly and cheaper, so I am very happy.

So far, so good!! going on two months... No activation fees or surprise charges like other mobile servers. I'm only on one line, so it's perfect! whereas, others want you to be on two or more lines and charge you to activate them!!!

Very pleased with the service. I highly recommend Mint Mobile.

Okay for texting and calling. Not the best coverage in the boonies. Five gigabytes data hotspot limit. Technically it’s “unlimited” but after five gigs it slow. Sloooow. Suh-loh-wuh.

I want to qualify my 5 star rating;I am going with 4.7 rate. Not the company,not the service. The making contact can be a minor inconvenience.all in all, of this is an experiment I say try this.

Mint mobil has tured out to be a great thing, the phone service works fine, had a rough patch in the beginning just make sure ypur auto switch yo wifo at home is on or it will eat that 4g data ip way too fast otherwise its great.

I'm very happy, as it is affordable and gives you the quality of services at par with T-Mobile. If they launch perks like T-Mobile, it will be a great value addition to the mint mobile service. Cons: Sometimes data doesn't work in roaming to other states of US. No international roaming.
