Customers frequently mention the low price and ease of use as major advantages of the Unlimited Phone Plan. Many also cite good coverage and the availability of 5G as positive aspects. However, some users report experiencing slower than expected data speeds and issues with their assigned phone numbers. The overall experience appears to be a trade-off between affordability and performance.

This is the first time I received something from Best Buy in such a bad shape!! We got a nice envelope perfectly handled from the outside then the surprise was when we opened it!! It seems that someone had a bad day so he tried to destroy our package!

Mint Mobile is often considered a good choice for several reasons:
1.Affordable Plans: Mint Mobile offers competitive pricing for their mobile plans. They operate on a prepaid model, which means you pay for your service in advance, allowing for potential cost savings compared to traditional postpaid plans.
2.Flexible Plan Options: Mint Mobile provides a range of plan options to cater to different usage needs. Whether you require a small amount of data or unlimited data, Mint Mobile has plans to suit various budgets and preferences.
3.High-Quality Network Coverage: Mint Mobile operates on the T-Mobile network, which is known for its extensive coverage across the United States. This ensures that you have access to reliable and fast data and voice services in most areas.
4.No Contracts: Mint Mobile does not require long-term contracts or commitments. Their plans are typically offered on a month-to-month basis, giving you the freedom to switch or cancel your plan without penalties if you're not satisfied with their service.
5.Wi-Fi Calling and Texting: Mint Mobile supports Wi-Fi calling and texting, allowing you to make calls or send messages using a Wi-Fi network instead of cellular coverage. This can be useful in areas with weak cellular signals or when traveling internationally.
6.International Roaming: Mint Mobile offers international roaming options, allowing you to use your phone while traveling abroad. They provide affordable rates for calls, texts, and data usage in various countries, which can be convenient for frequent travelers.
7.Easy Activation and Online Experience: Mint Mobile offers a straightforward and user-friendly activation process. You can order SIM cards online and activate your service without visiting a physical store. Their website and mobile app provide convenient account management tools, making it easy to monitor your usage and make changes to your plan.
While these factors contribute to Mint Mobile's appeal, it's important to consider your specific needs and check if Mint Mobile's coverage is strong in your area before making a decision. Additionally, prices and offerings may vary over time, so it's always a good idea to research and compare different mobile service providers to find the best fit for you.

MINT MOBILE has been my go-to for the last 5 years. I have even changed my grandsons over to this service. There is no hassle if you want to activate it on your own. And the only hassle would be if you want to keep your same phone number and the carrier that you are switching from refuses to give you the information you need even after your bill has been paid. I can not do it yet, but the Unlimited is really-really best at the 1year purchase price. But you can always go into your account and switch your plans as needed. If Ryan Reynolds completely leaves and they start nipping at the good deals, then I will probably leave too. For now... I'm not going anywhere!

I purchased this for my dad who is visiting us from a different country for a period of 6 months. The timeline on this one matches our requirement pretty well.
I was pretty impressed with the ease at which I was able to activate the service in just few mins by just downloading the mint app, give essential info and bingo the service is activated. We did not have a number porting; just got a new number.
Mint uses T-mobile; and in our area their service is pretty good. Did not experience any call drops and the data speed is pretty fast. It did not appear like the data was throttled.
We had an issue with the number and reached out to the customer care via the website chat and they were pretty helpful. We got someone online in just a few mins and that person helped us resolve our issues. I felt like the customer care was pretty decent but just via online chat and no phone support from what I could find.
Overall, great value for the money we spent and definitely recommend to anyone. I am thinking of getting another line just in case since the price is so good.

The Mint Mobile three-month trial is honestly one of the easiest and most affordable ways to test out a new phone service without committing to a long contract. I picked it up to use with an extra phone so I could stay in touch with family while they were overseas, and the whole setup process couldn’t have been simpler. Mint sends everything you need in one small kit, and activating the SIM through their app takes just a few minutes. It walks you through each step—pop in the SIM, follow the prompts, and you’re up and running. No confusing menus, no long wait times, and no calling customer service just to get started.
What I appreciated most was how reliable the service was for something marketed as a trial. Calls were clear, texts went through immediately, and mobile data performed well for everyday tasks. Since I was using it specifically to communicate with family abroad, I really liked that Mint includes affordable international options and Wi-Fi calling. It made staying connected smooth and stress-free, especially when using the second phone as a dedicated line for check-ins and messaging.
Coverage was solid too. Mint runs on T-Mobile’s network, so if you get good T-Mobile service in your area, the experience feels just like using a standard carrier but without the big price tag. The trial also lets you choose from different data amounts, so you’re not stuck with a plan that doesn’t match your usage.
The three-month window is generous and gives you enough time to see how Mint fits your routine—not just a few days like other trial offers. For me, it worked perfectly as a temporary line, and I appreciated how low-pressure the entire experience was.
Overall, the Mint Mobile trial is a great way to test out a reliable, budget-friendly carrier. It’s easy to set up, has solid performance, and works especially well for extra lines or short-term needs like staying connected with family overseas.

I recently purchased the Mint Mobile 5GB/mo Phone Plan - 3 Months of Wireless Service from Best Buy, and after using it for a while, I'm very happy with my decision. This plan is an excellent choice for anyone who wants to save money on their cell phone bill without making a major compromise on service quality.
The setup was incredibly easy. I was a little worried about the whole "bring your own phone" and transferring my number, but the included SIM card and clear instructions made the process seamless. I had my service up and running in less than 20 minutes, which was a huge relief.
The service itself has been great. Mint Mobile runs on the T-Mobile network, and in my area, the coverage is strong. I get solid 5G speeds for streaming, browsing, and using apps like Google Maps. The 5GB data cap is just right for my usage, and I haven't had any issues with slow speeds. For the price, the amount of data you get is a fantastic value.
Overall, this plan is perfect for someone like me who wants to cut costs but still needs a reliable phone plan. The quality is on par with what I was getting from a major carrier, but the price is a fraction of the cost.

I switched to Mint Mobile several years ago and they’ve exceeded my expectations. I switched from AT&T, but have also used Verizon, Sprint, T- Mobile, and even tried Cricket in the past. My service is great. I pay way less for cell phone usage than I used too by far. The rare occasions (maybe two total) that I’ve had to contact customer service did not leave me feeling frustrated. I highly recommend that if you enjoy quality products while keeping more of your coins in your pocket that you make the switch!

This card can't be used to top up existing accounts, otherwise I'm sure it's fine. I had to return mine because I didn't realize this.
If you buy this for 3 months when it has the +3 months free, that's 6 months of unlimited talk/text with 3gb data for spring 7.50 per month.
As long as you have t mobile in your area it's a better deal than any thing else except maybe ting, and only then of you use very little data
Quality, value and ease of use metrics reflect my opinion of this service in tmo network

If you want to try out the Mint Mobile network, we can quickly get the sim card from BestBuy. I got it very quickly as BestBuy is at a walkable distance from my home, so I don't need to order the sim online and wait for several days to get it in the mail. As a new customer offer, Mint offers a wonderful plan for 3 months at a price of $15/month. Mint Network is very good and after using it for 3 months, I have decided to review for the next 12 months at one shot to retain the same offer of $15/month. The plan gives unlimited call, text, and 4 GB of data per month which is very much enough for me. Due to this pandemic, mostly we are working from home and the amount of data consumption has become very less and 4 GB is a lot left for me. I'm absolutely enjoying the speed of this network and paying a meagre amount for my mobile bill. Another plus point is that I don't need to worry about paying monthly bills like my previous network. Pay once and forget it for one year. I liked it!

When you have T-mobile service in your area, this is the way to go. I have wifi calling and text enabled and I do lose the signal inside my home, so that covers those problems. Speeds aren't consistent. At my work it was a busy day and the download speed was slow with 4G, about 30 minutes to download 100MB, the following week it was empty and 100MB took a few seconds (we don't have wifi in the building just the cell tower). I was with a different Preplay service and my download speeds were always in the 100MB/sec but I was paying a whole lot more. It is very good for what you pay. If you want premium and world's fastest download speeds, pay for something else, if you want cheap and user friendly, buy this. I have no regrets.
When activating on three different Tracfone accounts, I had to call them directly to release the number. One account didn't have a pin so I called and they told me to make a pin, then I immediately called back to give them the pin...LOL.

I made the switch from the company that starts with a V. I ported my number for my new Mint Mobile unlimited plan. The price of Mint service is very affordable and offers way better service than my previous provider.
I also purchased a new unlocked Motorola phone (separate purchase) to go with my new Mint service. The cellular service of Mint is provided by T-mobile. The Mint Mobile signal where I live is above and beyond my old cellular provider.
At the time of my purchase the promotion was buy three months and get another three months free for a total of 6 months of service. When you active your new Mint service it will go very smooth when you are porting your number; be sure to obtain port release code from your cellphone service provider as this is required when porting your number (that was the only minor issue I had).
Cell phone calls, texts, and data is excellent and as mentioned better than my previous provider. I would check to see if T-mobile service is available and good coverage where you live; you can also verify cell coverage on Mint Mobile's website. If it is strong give Mint Mobile a try; Mint Mobile is reliable and super affordable. Also you will save money by getting off your contract service.
Just for comparison I am paying a quarter of the price from my previous provider and receiving almost full bars as opposed to just one bar from my previous cell phone provider.
Look into Mint Mobile, I did and I am receiving Mint's service and I'm completely a satisfied Mint customer!
By the way you will receive a new sim card that slides into your phone for Mint's service.

I got this product when it was on a special offer for
just $45 for 3-months of unlimited talk, text, and data.
This was an excellent buy! I set it up myself with my new
cell phone - and it was easy. Just consult the videos and
written instructions available on the Mint Mobile web site.
The service in my area is excellent! I have made long
distance calls to family in the US and the United Kingdom
that were clear at both ends. I get 5G data with excellent
throughput. I highly recommend it!

I can't complain, Mint's service is great. I'm using it on a 5G phone. Most of the time I get a 5G signal, on occasion I'll pick up 4G LTE, that's when I see Deprioritizing, which is to be expected with any MVNO. I left Xfinity Mobile (Verizon Wireless) and I'm paying $32/month. That's $15 less per month. One has to pay more up front, but I don't have a monthly bill. I get service in more places than I did with Xfinity Mobile. I have the unlimited plan with 35GB and a 5 GB hotspot. One line of service with one of the big carriers is around $80!!
I signed up for an additional year with Mint, so long as the service remains good I'm happy.
There aren’t enough emojis to convey how stoked we are about this.

I bought this for my son who is younger and only needed a phone for after-school sports activities so we could keep in touch since he was not riding the bus home. This was inexpensive and I had wanted to try it. I have not been a big fan of t-mobile in the past, and this piggy-backs on their network, but for $15 a month, you will not lose a lot if it fails to perform. I have found it quite worth the price and more. It rarely has less signal than my AT&T phone and it is super simple to get going. The biggest downside is not bestbuy, but Mint Mobile website on the account side (not the main website), it is a little lacking and a lot of it is really you figuring it out on the website. I did call and found them to answer the call quickly and were helpful to walk me through things, but it seemed confusing on the website and should be easier in my opinion. I ended up buying the year plan after this 3 month trial was up because I liked it enough. I have not made the jump yet on my phone, but I may at some point, however it is great for a child's line that you don't want to pay a ton of money for. Best Buy even has a great deal on this 3 month starter.

For the price, you can't really beat it.
But before you buy, you should do a little bit of research. I bought in store when getting my husband a cheap-ish smart phone. I had actually meant to get a different prepaid plan, but store rep must have misunderstood me, which is understandable, because masks are hard to hear through clearly. I hadn't noticed the mix up until I got home. Husband didn't care, so he applied it to the phone anyway.
First thing is, before you buy, you should visit Mint Mobile's website to see how well your phone will do with their network. I think they run off of T-Mobile towers? How well you get service varies by phone and location. I checked my husband's and it was "fair" while for my phone it was "good." Another thing to note is that you will probably be on a lower priority level since you are using T-Mobile towers, but not with T-Mobile. So if you have a lower rating for your phone given by Mint, you will probably experience some frustration, especially with data.
Second thing, the first 3 months is $60, so $20 per month for 10GB of data and unlimited calls and text. But it doesn't stay that way unless you buy 12 months at a time. Otherwise, after 3 months the price goes up. I don't have all the details, but you can see on Mint Mobile's website.
My husband's opinion on the service isn't so great, but he usually complains about everything anyway lol. I will say, that he has had issues sending out texts, but only when he has WiFi calling turned on. Probably a problem with which port the calls/text are being sent to in the router. I'm just guessing, but they may be getting assigned to the same port, so texting is unable to go through. So I wouldn't blame that part on the mobile network so much. I'm just putting this on here in case anyone else is confused why they can't send a text message while wifi-calling is enabled, because it would be easy to assume that it's the mobile network's issue and overlook a routing issue at first glance.
Overall, Mint's service is ok for the price, but I wish they would make it more obvious that you get the most savings during the first 3 months and if renewed for 12 whole months at a time.
If you are someone that needs dependable service or are a heavy data user, I would not recommend Mint to you.

We switched to Mint after being with the largest mobile phone service company in the US for 29 years.
Their phone service is just as good as the previous company - But their Customer Service is great. AND the cost is is 75% less. So, I'm saving a nice chunk of $$$. We like Mint alot.
