It is very easy to set up. First download the Mint mobile app. This one comes with 3 in 1 card. My phone use nano card, all I need to do it to pop the nano card out and follow the activation instruction from the app. I am up and running in a few minutes.

Seems to have good reception in the usual dead spots that I encounter but YMMV. Calls are clear. Porting over from TracFone was a pain but eventually it got done. I like the Mint app. Keeps me informed of my data usage.

    Painful Deprioritization

Had Mint's unlimited plan for about 11 months. It was super easy to switch to Mint and the low cost was nice. However, it seemed that no matter which phone I had my SIM card in, my data was incredibly slow and basically unusable at any place/event with a crowd. Concerts, state fair, malls -- even the grocery store! I never had that issue with my previous carrier. I have now switched back to my previous carrier. The cost is higher, but it works everywhere I need it to. If you need service mainly for calls, I would recommend Mint. If you need mobile data on the go, I would caution against Mint.

Best Buy Curbside pickup was easy and quick. Mint Mobile Kit came with everything I needed to switch my smartphone from Consumer Cellular and instructions were good. I was able to activate online, it didn't take too long and I had my phone operational in less than an hour. I had issues loosing Internet connection when I drop off wifi the first few weeks I switched to Mint. Lately I haven't had the issue and will continue to monitor. I can't wait to take this when I start camping and test the cellular reception at remote sites.

It works great for me, I've had no problems. I was concerned because I'm not the most tech-savvy, at least not when it comes to phones, but setting up my account and matching it to my SIM card and phone was super fast and easy, I could have done it in 5 minutes if I didn't have to call my old mobile company to get my account number to port my number. This Mint Mobile kit has really solved my phone service problem. Although it's only been a few days that I've used it, about a week, so far I haven't had any issues, calls and texts work perfectly unlike a different discount mobile service I was using. I've saved quite a bit of money, and the mobile services work as well as if not better than what my previous carrier provided. I mean, network data download is fast, really fast, almost as fast as my home Wi-Fi, and I've had no dropped calls, but there has been some static on the line once in a while. But overall, I'm really happy so far, everything has worked out well.

I was looking for a better service for the dollar carrier for my phone service. Mint seems to provide just that and Best Buy provided a local point to acquire what was needed to start my service. I am very happy with both at this point.

Visible failed in every way possible. Moved to Mint and haven’t looked back. And less expensive than Visible. Getting data speeds equivalent to my home Comcast on my phone. Mint (riding on T-Mobile’s network) is much better for where I live.

    Network is not that great

Deal was good and so I went for it, but the network is not that good. My mobile just hands in with two bars and many a times drops off completely. I am not able to make assess whether or not I am missing calls at the moment, but would get to know of the same as soon as some of my friends starts complaining. The 6 months deals for too sweet to ignore, but if things doesn't improve I will switch to more reliable network when the time is up for the plan. Despite all the odds, if you have good reception in your area, this is something you can definitely consider. Setup was simple and the number was ported instantaneously with no lag for activation.

Mint Mobile is the best. It just is the most cost effective way to stay connected. i get normal T mobile speeds - which is pretty good. I use it with google voice. So i dont mind changing my number every 3 months - effectively using my google voice number as my mainstay.

Port in process was easy and was active on the Mint network within 30 minutes of activation. Briefly tested Youtube, and was satisfied with the speed. Call quality is good and voicemail. Make sure your device is compatible with their network first before purchasing.

$20 for 10 GB a month. Don't know any any other other carriers/MVNOs where you can get such great value for your money. Lost signal a couple times while I was out and about, but for the most part, this is a really good service. I also found that I ran out of data five or so days before the month was up, but that's on me. If you know you're going to be using your phone a good bit without wifi, I'd recommend going for the 15 GB per month plan. All in all, go Mint if you want a good, cheap data plan.

I tried several other mvnos, but for some reason mint mobile provides me with the best coverage here in my area. Sometimes it shows weaker network strength though, but it's way better than the others I have tried.
