My test machine is a 2017 Pro MacBook with AMD 560 dGPU, using 1680 x 945 resolution, to simulate 4K at 60 Hz and connecting to it via Displayport to USB-C cable. The monitor is able to connect up to 4K at 60 Hz. There is no noticeable lag, so whatever cursor movement I make on my Pro MacBook display, it's immediately updated on the LG monitor. Note: Expect a minimal delay if you are connecting via iGPU. I also tested this monitor on a 2015 Pro MacBook using Intel Iris Pro 6200, no dGPU, and there was a tiny lag to the LG monitor. The default colors on the monitor are a bit bland, and too much green overall. Oddly enough, the the greens are a bit weak, and look more like spring green/yellow. Even using different color profiles and saturation levels do not fix the problem. For most purposes, the greens are fine, but compared to the new Pro MacBooks with the P3 monitors, those greens look full and lush, whereas the greens on the LG monitor are slightly faded. Reds and blues seem fine. The settings that I use to give excellent colors are included at the end of this review. My other complaint is that on bright sunny days, the monitor is not quite bright enough, even on high brightness and contrast settings (high enough that the colors do not seem to fade off). Your preferences may vary.
