Perfect for the cottage to watch movies on a rainy day

I bought two of these when they were on sale during the holidays for my classroom. We use them as a listening center. They are easy for the children to use. They are compact and nice. Great purchase!

I bought this as a gift for my dad and he loves it. You can plug in your earphones for a quiet environment or listen via the player's speakers. It's easy to use and since we don't need it for longer than a movie at a time, battery life has been great.

We bought these at the last second to drive 1000 miles for a funeral. Our mounted car DVD player had broke and it was going to cost around $600 to replace it. Not what I wanted to spend right before Christmas. Found theses for under $50, so I bought 3, one for each kid (we already had another one). This was even better than the car DVD player since the kids didn't fight over what movies to watch. The batteries lasted longer than specifications (3-4 hours), which was great since we've only got two power sources in the car. I even dug one out a month later when the power went out and we watched a 2 1/2 hour movie on it. The plastic seems a little cheap, but it worked,so no complaints.

The Insignia Portable DVD Player is a great little portable dvd player for travel or work. My husband uses this dvd player for work and it has a great battery life with a short charge time of 1 hour. We have been able to play any dvd on it and if it shuts off it starts right back up where you left off.

I bought the 9" model and am leaving this review on the 7" since it's the same model aside from the size and the 9" is apparently not sold anymore. I bought it in June 2016; in December I replaced it with the same one; now here it is March 2017 and I am going to be bringing it in for a refund if I can't find something comparable in the store which is unlikely given the limited choices in store. It worked great at first, but the biggest ongoing issues have been the buttons. I have had multiple issues with it not-pausing when I hit pause; instead it stops. And it won't always play again from the same spot even though I have the last memory feature enabled. I have also had multiple issues with it going to next chapter or arrowing down on the menu when I hit the stop button. The latest thing which was the final straw was that it has been flickering on and off on it's own, even though it is turned off. I will not be getting this brand again.

I love having this Portable DVD Player around. We bring it in the car, especially for long rides. We put a movie in to keep the kids quiet and entertained. It's small enough to fit into a large purse. I also plan on using it to play PX90 or any other workouts where I plan on working out outside, either in the yard or at a park with friends since it's so portable.

Ive owned about 3 of these now, none having stood the test of time. This one, I believe will. Its solid, sturdy, looks fantastic, and works great. The sound could be a LITTLE louder perhaps, but it seems to vary depending on what DVD you put into it. But, otherwise, its a great low priced DVD player for kids use. Im very happy with it - purchased two of these.

Good for kids and traveling! Small lightweight and easy to use.

Bought dvd player to replace the last dvd player for my daughter. She loves it. Used it on our 8 hour trip to San Antonio without a need to charge it. Will definitely recommend it to anyone looking for one for the kids
