I previewed the movie before giving it to the grandkids. The monsters are quite real and the graphics excellent. Love the twisting story line and it kept me entertained! Grandkids love it, not too scary for them (ages 7,6,4), now one of their favorite movies!

Definitely too much for younger kids,was very disappointed the digital copy only redeemed in HD quality, to get it in UHD was the reason I bought the disc .The disc has a very nice 4k picture.

I bought this movie because my girlfriend loved the books so I got it for her. But I can tell you I'm pleasantly surprised by this movie it was pretty good the only fault I had was there could have been more character development for the kids.

starting out in a realistic fashion, this film draws you in and the fantasy world entwines itself around the current one. A great plot, good cinematic effects, and believable characters make this film a joy. Never underestimate this film or a bit of romance.

Very nice movie. Tim Burton has been mostly miss for me with his releases for the last while but this is a nice return to form. With the blu ray the assortment of features, picture quality, and audio quality make it well worth checking out.

A really cool family movie. Great acting and special effects. The big surprise to me was the sound and musical sound track. Very full and realistic sound. An interesting and creative story makes this DVD a good one to own and watch many times.

Think of this as "What if Tim Burton directed X-Men" At least that's how it was for me even though it is based off a book that I have never read. The movie looks good in 4K and I am glad this was a blind buy for me. I was not disappointed.

Bought this for my teenage daughter for us to watch as a family. There was just enough MAGIC in the movie to make it fun for even her age. It would also be a good movie for even middle school and elementary age . Not too dark but exciting.

We got this because of the previews and expected a B movie at best. We were pleasantly surprised at the depth of the characters and how it all drew together. We will certainly be watching this again soon to find the pieces we missed the first time around.

Ms. Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children was a well directed and acted movie. The performances by the younger cast is impressive. I did not read the book so I do not know how closely it stuck to the original novel but the movie is enjoyable nonetheless.

This is a great movie, but it's definitely not for little kids. I bought the 4K version, and the extra clarity/resolution is worth the extra price. The 4K format is really good for the dark scenes, where you get terrific black contrasts.

I love Tim Burton films, this meets my expectations and loved the story. Some find it weird, others maybe different but you just need to know what your watching. A very unique story line with a bit of thrills, excitement, mystery and magic. Just amazing

Overall enjoyed the movie. Slow at time but action at others. Didn't follow the book exactly but that is to be expected to a certain extent when a book is converted to a movie. I would describe as another Tim Burton success.

This movie was a bit stranger than I assumed but then again it is a Tim Burton film so that should not have come as a surprise. However, I really enjoyed it and there is certainly the possibility of a sequel which I would enjoy seeing.

This was a very entertaining movie. Good story, scary monsters and the bad guys were a pleasant surprise. The heroes were unique in their abilities. Plus I am a big Eva Green fan.

This is a good fantasy tale about children with gifts that make them peculiar. Pay attention to the dynamics between characters as this helps you follow the story line. Overall this is entertainment for the entire family.

Thankfully Tim Burton has gone back to movies that aren't bloated with CGI, bad scripts or cash grab performances (AKA Alice in Wonderland). This is not a deluxe set, but if you enjoyed this movie then this release will do just fine.

This movie was based on the book of the same title. Is it ground breaking? No. Is it a good solid movie that is entertaining and makes you think a little? Yes. With time traveling and people with abilities, what could go wrong?

My seven-year-old and 10-year-old daughter loved this movie as well as my husband and I. We are looking forward to watching it over and over again soon. My daughters can't wait to have friends over for movie night and show their friends this one.

When watching this movie the first act was a little slow. By the time we reached the second act the movie became interesting and fun. The 4K quality made the colors vibrant and deeper than regular HD. Worth the buy if you like these kind of films.
